While removing the extruder on my Creality Hi to clear a jam I damaged the wire that connects the extruder board to the print board and I have NO IDEA where to purchase a replacement wire.

It’s a 3pin wire roughly 9cm long with 2 male ends where 1 is about 2mm wide and other about 5mm wide.

MUCH appreciate any advice on where to shop and what search terms to use for locating a replacement, ideally located in the US.

Creality store support said they don’t have the part and directed to main Creality support email

Creality support email said to try Amazon, Alibaba or Aliexpress - no luck on any of those

Ordered a replacement from a site in Australia (only place I’ve found so far that carries it) and will likely attempt to repair the wire while I wait for it to arrive

As others have mentioned, all you need to do is replace the connector where the red wire broke off. Since this piece isn’t strictly necessary for printing, you can use it for a learning moment if you’ve never done anything like that before.

Don’t tell anyone I told you but if you look for videos on how those connectors work, you can probably figure out how to keep using the existing connector and just remove the old bit of broken off red wire and reconnect the main part of the wire.

The smaller connector looks like a JST SH. I can’t tell what the larger one is from that picture. If you can find out what it is, you can get some contacts and crimp new ones on.

They seems to be some kind of JST connector.

Electronics and models shop should have them.

As last resource, Amazon has them in bulk

Removing the pin and reusing it on the broken end might just work. It’s awfully tiny though so idk just a thought. Good luck!

Yeah if you can buy a cheap soldering iron, its not too hard to depin the wire from the connector, clip the broken section off, and then solder the pinned portion to a new wire.

I’m sure digikey.com has what you need. Ships all over the world, they’re pretty quick, have a huge stock, and doesn’t cost a fortune.

One of those look like a JST connector. I don’t remember the ame of the other end, but it’s pretty common too.
