Absolutely, but this is an age where muzzle loaders were still a thing (I know, it’s lever action) AND she is posing for a cool photograph.
Why the weirdly huge gloves? They definitely don’t help you shoot.

I guess so, but why so huge? Modern riding gloves are really short.
Tumbleweeds don’t fuck around. The gloves are for the scrub and brush in the deserts of the SW US. They didn’t have any synthetic materials at the time.
