Cripple. History Major. Vaguely left-wing.
Third wheel is in the back.
How is that a response to what I said?
Probably has something to do with Hamas being a bunch of institutionally anti-democratic Islamist shitheads who took power from Fatah, an actual left-wing and secular and at least nominally pro-egalitarian organization, because Fatah was corrupt - only for Hamas to prove themselves as corrupt as Fatah ever was.
But sure, let’s celebrate Hamas and their imposition of women wearing hijab in public and forbidding them to leave without guardians, or the brutal murder of LGBT folk trying to flee, or the complete dismantling of democratic infrastructure in Gaza.
Hamas are fucking shitheads. It’s just that Hamas being shitheads doesn’t justify Israel’s ongoing attempt at genocide.
No, Kbin is having some federation issues, it would seem.
Thanks! Looking from my alt account I’ve been intermittently having the same problem. I think it’s on Kbin’s end, unfortunately.
I took over the community because it was unmoderated but already active, but I’m not a fan of the ‘x-porn’ name. In any case, this is just a place for historical photographs of interest.
Because the PUG is the most IMPORTANT part of the photo
Unfortunately, probably still a better deal than being explicitly second-class citizens in Morocco. Sometimes life only offers us shite choices.
Man, I’ve been on both since the beginning. I was calling the Palestinian genocide a genocide before October 7th and the current, heightened phase of the genocide. I’ve been advocating removal of military aid from Israel since I was in my damn teens.
Here I thought I was condemning it as unambiguously a genocide and advocating for the complete removal of military aid from Israel. Silly me. I’m glad you’re here to correct me on what I believe.
Modern combat is the world’s deadliest game of hide and seek.
Door gunners are, unfortunately for them, very visible targets.
Well, the helmet was probably taken from a body rather than a living prisoner.

In reality the USSR was planning the invasion of Japan and was strongly prepared for it,
… Jesus give me strength.
I meant in reference to the post-war attempts at nuclear restraint, not Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Oh, God, no. The Ottoman Empire, after WW1, was more or less entirely at the mercy of the Entente, who had already decided to carve up the Middle East amongst themselves. The level of control the Ottomans had at the end of WW1 over the territory, or its ability to pursue any kind of policy, foreign or domestic, was about nil.
The Entente’s imperialism actually would have been even worse, save that Mustafa Kemal Ataturk snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and managed to make the modern Turkish Republic out of the war-weariness of Britain and France, and the poor performance of the Greek military.
The resulting Turkish Republic largely regarded Ottoman imperialism as undesirable and non-Turks* as not Turkiye’s concern.
*Who was and was not a Turk was decided by Turkiye, of course, and curiously, a great number of Kurds in desirable areas contiguous with Turkiye were designated as “Mountain Turks” who just needed to get in touch with their “real” roots. For obvious reasons, the Kurds have never been particularly fond of this interpretation, and a great deal of violence has resulted in support of this oppressive position.
War is weird, but ultimately the concern is generally escalation/normalization of weapons. If nukes get normalized, then every military worth its salt needs one, and can use them, and that means suddenly warfare becomes much, much more bloody as a matter of averages, not just as a matter of a bomb or two vaporizing a few hundred thousand people in the occasional high-intensity war.
Every source I’ve seen refers to it as a tricycle. I don’t know what the additional two wheels are for, but they aren’t touching the ground in the pic, so I’m inclined to keep the original description.
