I halfway agree, but the issue with that is, that’s not what happens in reality. In reality these things don’t run on renewable energy. And not utilizing datacenters at capacity is just a waste of resources. And they could find people who donate their voices, which would be fair… But they’re not doing that. So I think half the arguments still apply. It is innovation though, we shouldn’t be opposed just for the sake of it. It needs some proper argumentation.

Hmmh, the 4090 is kind if the wrong choice for this, due to its memory bus width… For AI workloads and especially if you want to connect lots of memory, you kind of want the widest bus possible.

Ich weiß nicht so recht was die Frage ist… Bezüglich der Jobs, für die man Leute bezahlt? So ungefähr alle: Bäcker, Supermarktverkäuferin, Altenpfleger, Politikerin… Mein Punkt war, dass man das für Soldaten auch so machen kann. Schreibt man eine Stellenanzeige, bezahlt denen 40-50k im Jahr und vielleicht bildet man die auch gut aus.

Wobei sich um die Alten und Kranken kümmern, die Gesellschaft und das Land mit sozialen Dingen nach vorne bringen auch ein Beitrag ist. Also abseits der Bundeswehr gibt es auch allgemein noch viele Möglickeiten aktiv das Land zu schützen. Auch so sachen wie Entwicklungshilfe und Unterstützung anderer Länder hilft ja in erster Linie gar nicht erst in eine Kriegssituation zu kommen. Vielleicht fokussiert man sich mehr darauf, weil das ist auch üblicherweise effizienter und billiger als dann schlussendlich einen Krieg austragen zu müssen. Deshalb würde ich im Allgemeinen sagen, schickt die Leute eher dorthin als zum Grundwehrdienst an der Waffe. Das heißt jetzt allerdings auch nicht, dass es nur damit getan wäre…

Also ich wäre dafür, dass man Leute bezahlt für den Job. Das ist ja in anderen Branchen auch so üblich. Dabei gewinnt man auch noch mehr Vorteile. Man muss sie nicht zwingen, man kann sie länger und besser ausbilden… Ich denke das ist keine kognitive Dissonanz. Leute mit 18 einziehen und die 9 Monate hauptsächlich herumpimmeln und saufen lassen, so wie es früher üblich war, ist halt nur nicht die Optimallösung.

Ich glaube der Knackpunkt ist, dass das ein ungleiches Spiel ist. Einfache (und falsche) Wahrheiten verkaufen, Stimmung machen und Populismus ist ungleich einfacher, als Sachzusammenhänge benennen, Probleme angehen, gerade auch in einer komplexen Welt mit viel Nuancen.

Aber ja, ein wenig mehr Zuckerbrot und Peitsche ist vielleicht ganz hilfreich.

Ja, der Merz findet auch noch ganz andere schlimme Sachen toll. Aber wir wollen mal sehen. Die sind ja nicht ganz alleine. Und ich denke die ganzen Untersuchungen der AfD und amtliche Feststellung, dass das Nazis sind, dient jetzt auch dazu den Weg zu ebnen und damit haben sie das Ass schonmal im Ärmel, falls sie die AfD verbieten wollen. Ich denke es ist ohnehin noch zu früh um jetzt die Details für die nächste Wahl auszuklüngeln. Jetzt muss man erstmal sehen und in 2 Jahren mal überlegen. Vielleicht gehen wir auch zwischendurch weiterhin gegen Nazis demonstrieren.

Ja, nur halt ist es jetzt defacto normalisiert. Das kann man jetzt nicht mehr zurücknehmen. Und ich glaube selbst wenn sie wieder in der Versenkung verschwinden würden, wissen die jetzt was sie sich leisten können.

Nice that you were able to fix it. I think writing systemd unit files is a super useful skill. And systemd is a powerful tool. With the dozens of different things it can do and monitor for you.

I usually give each separate service its own user account. So teamspeak would get a teamspeak user and group and I’d write a system unit file to start it as User=teamspeak and Group=teamspeak. That’s also what you’ll find in most tutorials. But you can do it your way (as a user service), too. Whichever makes it easier to maintain and administer the stuff. I guess with the user sessions, you’d have to log in with that user(?) and the way I do it, everything runs completely unattended at system start and I never log in with those user accounts.

You don’t need to write any Before= or After= directives, unless you want to set up or tear down some environment for these services. Maybe have a look at an example for a service file for teamspeak, the arch wiki says there is some example out there. I don’t use it myself, as it’s not Free Software, but good luck convincing your friends to switch to Mumble😅

Finde ich auch. Und es ist ja auch nicht so, dass die den Krieg gutheißen würden oder so. Und das letzte mal als ich nachgeschaut habe, hatte jede andere Partei auch dumme oder naive Ideen zu irgendwelchen Einzelthemen. Von daher sehe ich denen das irgendwie nach.

I’d say Live-CD/USB and use the recovery mode to fix GRUB. Grub has to appear so thet’s the first issue. If you’re lucky it’s the only one and you can skip the more complicated steps.

Before jumping to any conclusions, you kind of have to try it several times, though. Just once could be a fluke, as there is randomness involved in AI. And the topic of the conversation is completely unclear, so the AI makes something up.

I think that might be it. Afaik Jesus died for the sins of everyone, not just the Christians. But you got to accept his sacrifice to get salvation. Which I’d argue is the thing that technically makes you a Christian. And it’s simultaneously the excuse to look down on other people who then aren’t going to see forgiveness.

Hmmh, thanks. I wrote another comment here, detailing how I wasn’t taught that Jewish faith is outdated. Their way of living and civil laws, yes. But most of their books is what we look at to see how the world was created and what happened until Jesus was born. And that’s pretty much in place as is. But I’m not a theologian. I don’t think they taught me much about Islam, though.

And sure, I can see how it’s different the other way around, if someone declares a messiah and it’s not the same belief any more.
