The article says that it wasn’t going to be supported due to system specs (tbh, I had assumed that they would be using some goddawful kernel based drm monstrosity), so it could just be that the programmer has finally received their copy of ‘Code optimisation for dummies’.
Lmao. They’re really desperate for this one to go over well, huh?
On the one hand, I like the AC franchise, and I used to like Ubisoft and some of the games they put out.
On the other, I really want to see an entertaining crash and burn. Like, full-blown disastrous launch that bankrupts the company – so they can “get comfortable with not owning” their studios.
Holy title gore, Batman.
But anyway, hooray.
“We have some exciting news to share: our talented developers gave Steam Deck players the option to play Assassin’s Creed Shadows at launch; despite initially announcing we wouldn’t be able to support until later,”
Edit: We just wanted to deny that we’re not not going to do the thing at said we wouldn’t not be able to do.
I thought Ubisoft was upset that it was compatible with the Steam Deck.
Hell yea! Going on my steam deck when the price drops.
