If they cost the same as veilguard, absolutely, resounding failure to end up in bronze.

The original was that good, haven’t bought the remake since technically, I already paid for the game (twice) so I’m waiting for the inevitable rebate down the line.
Where’s Veilguard, I saw so many articles from major publications saying it was a massive success and yet it can’t even match space marine or helldiversII? Were they being untruthful? What?
Different strokes for different folks I guess. The puzzles are DA Inquisition levels of dumb, the level design is OK in the more open areas but there’s the frequent feeling the game is a walking sim in the more linear ones and the action is trash, just absolute trash, even MGS1 on PS1 had more aware enemies, it’s laughable in 2024 the AI is worse than 30y ago. This game would have been panned were it not for the indy tie in.
On the positive side, the voice acting is top notch and the writing is OK, I like the dynamic between villains. The looks are great but the level design really squanders the great graphical fidelity.
I love Indiana Jones BTW, I can probably recite Raiders line by line, maybe that’s why this didn’t gel with me.
Tardigrada strikes again. What’s this, radio free asia lemmy branch? Lol
Traditional media likes to call “gamergate” to being called out for “access journalism”. That’s also why they took the uncivility of a vocal few to represent a larger movement that demanded more transparency in games journalism. Turns out, if you have a megaphone, you seldom want to share the power to use it.
You dumb dumb, one doesn’t simply become a 40BUSD company without exploitation of labour. There is no such thing as ethic billionaires, only parasites with good PR.
100% can confirm. The game is carried by nostalgia alone.

Gamepass is less choice, not more. We’re not having a discussion from the point such an evident fact is beyod your grasp. Then you mount an emotional defense rich in ad hominem. You don’t get to pretend to take the high road when using a reality distortion field to argue for megacorp dumping practices.
Also, downvoting a 1 on 1 “conversation” is downright pathetic…

Your reply is a red herring. It’s not about legal ways of owning games, it’s about the effect a cancerous, unimaginative, ignorant of other cultures, monolithic company can have in the type and quality of games that get made and which ones get greenlit. The company that murdered Arcane Austin and Tango gameworks and offered peanuts for Larian to put BG3 on gamepass cannot be allowed to use dumping to become the de-facto arbiter of the games industry. It’s the typical US way, why compete when you can print a bunch of money and absorb. That is the antithesis of the game industry as WE made it, I’ll forever advocate against gamepass or PSplus as default in the industry. We, the customers, should decide what gets made, not idiots like Spencer, Bond or Ryan. That is the true choice! Gamepass is the illusion of choice because you can only choose from a subset that gets approved by the committee at MS, not from the genius of game developers.
TIL US represents the world and everyone else watching F1, Tennis, the Olympics, FIFA world cup et al, are not human. Actually unsurprising, given current events, the US elites consider the rest of the world Untermensch.
I will truly never undestand the hard-on for gamepass. Have people learned nothing from Netflix/hulu/prime et al. The only thing separating us from a pile of trash software like the Atari days is the existence of fucking physical ownership. Seriously concerned about how dumb the average person is becoming. We have enshitification all around us but people are hell bent on the monolithic cancerous mass that is microsoft controlling more of the gaming space. Jesus fucking Christ!
