We keep ours on a window sill behind a curtain. We have to yell at it 3 times to make it work, but it’s still better than looking under the couch for the tv remote.

It was nice. We always do polenta on Christmas Eve and that’s fun. Started a new tradition with aebelskiver on Christmas morning. Grilled a beef rib roast for dinner. Was nice, just us and our adult kids. 2 of them left for awhile mid day to go to the in laws, which gave us a chance to clean up and prep dinner. Tiring but fun. I still have to even out everyone’s gift allowance - we have weird stuff going on this year with house repairs and limited space, so some wanted gifts and some wanted $ to spend when they’re less cramped on space.
I’m terribly guilty of this. It’s usually voice to text that i forget to check before posting/sending. My brain knows the difference between your and you’re, but apparently my mouth doesn’t.
I’m so sorry. This was my second Christmas since losing mine. She was always so excited about Christmas, Santa, decorations, all of it. Missing her made me want to do it a little more this year but I got started oto late. We still had a really good day - husband and kids picked up the slack.
I had a school kid who moved to a different district and then ate 12 non-latex gloves there before anyone noticed. Not recommended.
I don’t think so. He’ll say it still looks like old rolled out vinyl.
We’re about to move into a different house and will have to replace all flooring after foundation repairs. I would go with linoleum but i don’t think i can convince my husband that it’s not the same as vinyl. Also, i don’t want any height changes so I’m not sure what floorings i can put in the kitchen and living that are level.
I work in special ed. There’s a lot of money in autism right now, so there’s some extra funding for therapies. A diagnosis can get you more school services - I’ve had kids who really needed in-home parent training but they couldn’t get it because parents declined the AU label. Some of the accommodations you get in school can carry over into college - extra time for tests, etc.
I have stained concrete and i love it. Spill or pets = spray it and wipe it up. Scrapes= reminders of the people we’ve had over, the chairs we’ve dragged up to the kitchen table, and the dancing in the living room. I also have soapstone counters because i like to see the scraped circles and remember bottles of wine and whiskey that we’ve shared. I’ll be sad when we sell it. If they want new counters, I’ll buy the old ones from them.

He’s been really determined to make it work - even takes it on vacation. He gets decent rest until he wakes up and takes it off, usually around 3 or 4. He has the triangle-shaped mask with the face steps. I didn’t realize there were different types. I just ordered him the n30 under-nose one and the p10 nasal pillows with a soft strap. Thanks for the advice!

My husband has had his since September. He usually makes it until 3 or 4am and then takes it off.
How did you get used to the mask?
Now I’m super jealous and want to check all the boxes on every form.
Mine drove me crazy for the first few years. Now i notice it a lot less. Sometimes if i put that ear on my pillow the wooshing drowns out the screeching.
It’s handy - turn on/off lights, adjust thermostat, set reminders (like to remember cat medicine) or cooking timers. We had the Google one but switched to the Alexa one So i could ‘drop in’ on my mom and set it to call me if she said HELP.
