Hacking, even on an insecure system, would be illegal. Any copyright troll trying to sue a single user for having a private jellyfin instance which they hacked to find out about would probably have a hard time actually making a case.
“Yeah, this one guy was distributing films to himself and a few friends. I know because I hacked him” doesn’t seem like a good case.
Doesn’t have a sync play feature like Jellyfin does
So what’s the alternative? VPNs are unreliable
Or even if you must, store the names locally
I’d usually say a sovereign state which claims to be, that’ll rule out England and Scotland, though. But I wouldn’t really classify them as a country. I wouldn’t classify Taiwan as a country either, but as a province of the Republic of China which is a country that isn’t the People’s Republic of China. I’d consider the State of Israel and Palestine both countries as well.
It was nice for me. I enjoyed it. It was good food. But not something I’d bother spending £17 on. I would have enjoyed a £8 meal from burger king the same even if it’s slightly lower quality. When it comes to eating, I am not a sweat or a food enthusiast. I just needed to eat something for dinner so my mum and girlfriend don’t get annoyed with me.
Would probably cost the same
I spent £17 on a burger and chips at five guys due to peer pressure. I still haven’t mentally recovered.
Vandalise something
What’s up with all the french articles
Of course, the Chinese flag has to be in the article thumbnail.
Depends where you are and what you want to post. You can host your own website with an activitypub instance (like a wordpress with the activitypub plugin, or a mastodon instance, or a smaller activitypub instance) and the only thing that can limit you from there is the law. But again, unfortunately if the government is censoring you, there’s nothing stopping you from getting arrested. I don’t know much about onion hosting, but I believe that’s anonymised so there’ll be less risk of you being identified and censored.
Tell me more
Man, I love linux. Far too often you get things with windows and the answer is “you can’t lol”. Like moving the taskbar
I think it would make more sense if (their excuse was that) this was just another redundancy
They could have easily made up an excuse like “contingency in case of a terrorist attack where national infrastructure is damaged” or something that’s actually believable and feasible, lol
I like that aspect of lemmy as well. I quite commonly see familiar names.
Wait until summer. It’ll become hell.
It’s not publicly accessible, though. An account is clearly needed.
