I went through a fucking spree earlier this week. Finished Metaphor: ReFantazio last weekend. It’s an RPG from Atlus, basically a fantasy Persona. Would recommend if you like those games. I also played through Lunistice, which is a short little platformer game. Only has a handful of levels, but fun and worth it for $5. Then I went into Mouthwashing blind and finished it in a single night. I knew absolutely nothing about that one except that I had only heard good things about it. Very good, but holy fucking shit is it heavy. Wanna recommend it, but it’s one of those games where you need to stare at a wall for a couple of hours to process everything it throws at you. And I’ve since started Shapez 2. An automation game like Factorio or Satisfactory, but it’s just Shapez. It makes the good chemicals in the brain go brrrrr. Would also recommend.

If you liked Observer, I’ll recommend Soma. I just had to sit back and think for a couple hours after I finished it

I got B4B because some friends and I were really into L4D2. The cards were cool and different and I can appreciate that they tried something new. But they would regularly nerf anything that worked or was fun into the ground, which really sucked because it was a PvE game. And they changed the game so that you would start a campaign with your entire deck, and didn’t balance any of the early levels since they were designed to give a single card per level or segment or whatever they were called. Patch notes show that everything they fixed were crashes, freezes, and items or NPCs not spawning. They originally said that they would keep a lot of exploits and jank as it’s part of Oblivion’s charm, and it looks like they are staying true to that

Had a lot of fun with Doom 2016, and I fucking loved Eternal. However, it wouldn’t feel right to support id Software with the way they treated Mick Gordon, especially with all the work he put into the soundtracks for both of the games. Plus the dragon and mech parts looked really weird in Dark Ages. I have a friend who did play the game and he wasn’t too impressed, and he said that the dragon and mech parts were basically really boring on-rails sections. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything not playing it

This lawsuit is so stupid. In my opinion, patenting, copyrighting, or trademarking concepts or mechanics in video games shouldn’t be allowed at all. The nemesis system in the Shadow of Mordor games was so cool, but we’re never going to see anything like it again. Warner went through the trouble to copyright (or something idk I’m not a lawyer) that system, and then let the series die out.

I’m waiting to see the headlines that any other games with a shooty thing that goes bang is illegal, and the concept of shooting a gun in a video game is going to be owned by either Rockstar/Take Two or the collective mob of Call of Duty developers. Edit: Thought about it for 10 more seconds and I have questions. Is it specifically gliding using a creature that Nintendo has a problem with, or is it creature-assisted traversal in general? Can they sue Skyrim since you can ride horses? Palworld made the change so that you need to build a glider to glide around. BOTW and TOTK used gliders. Is Nintendo gonna sue them for that now too?
