Just finished V Rising. I really liked it. For those who don’t know and are curious, it’s one of those games where, if you can’t beat a boss, you just have to get better. There’s some small things that make a fight easier, but it basically comes down to you understanding the enemy and learning to play better.

I played through the invincible. Great story, visuals and voice acting. I am however reminded, that walking simulators aren’t really games. The whole thing should have been a mini series.

I finished the second half of Hrot, a boomer shooter. It plays like a mix of Dusk and Quake 1, set in Czechoslovakia in the 80s.

Really good atmosphere, nice enemy variety, good level design with lots of secrets, great music, average gunplay.

I had a lot of fun and reading up about all the references to real life Czechoslovakia and Chech culture was quite interesting and educational.

I started playing Dave the Diver. It has a lot of charm, but it feels like two mobile games stiched together. I kinda like it, but I wish there was more to it.

I played Sacrifice for Sale, a small indie comedy/horror visual novel where you’re playing a vacuum salesman who tries to not get sacrificed by a cult. It has a huge amount of different endings, so there’s lots of replayability despite the short length. also the girls who want to kill you are pretty cute

Yesterday, I also finished playing duck detective: the secret salami and it’s pretty amazing. The voice acting is suitably over the top and the artstyle is adorable. hoping for a sequel!

I’ve been trying the W40k Speed Freeks open beta, it’s a lot of fun actually, I thought it would play like a Mario Kart but it’s more akin to a MOBA, in some ways. There’s only one game mode for now but I really enjoy the insanity and aesthetics!
