They ported an old dotnet
Some subversion of 3, which is fundamental to a lot of software found out in the wild.
It’s an old version, but even today you can still make new apps that use it, using modern development tools (the latest version of Visual Studio). It’s missing a large number of newer features, but all the essential stuff is available.
I still maintain software written in dotnet compact for windows CE 💀 limited to VS2008 though

I know they’re not linux native but in my exp, old with does apps work on Linux (wine) even better than windows a lot of the time
One good example is midtown madness 2 running smoothly on wine (no. Not steam) while it is a mess on windows half the time
