    Maturity is recognizing that your fourteen-year-old self was important too, and that she got you here, and that you should give her some grace.

    I am a man, but I know enough of Jungian psychology that my past and present self also comprises of my anima. I must treasure her so.

      My past self was dumb and trusting and thought working hard would grant life fulfillment. My current self still thinks all this, but now also knows how to make really neat paper hats

    This is something I never really resonated with. I mean there are things I wish I understood better when I was younger (or really just have future info) and I can point to a few things I did that I wish I done differently but overall I would be pretty cool with myself from any age and I think it would be reciprocal.
