Not too be confused with https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orobas ;p
It popped up on YT several months ago.
I can and do live very well off less than that.
Not bad for a guess! I was floored, by the number.
323, according to Google. Idk if that includes yesterday’s.
I cheated. Holy smoke!
I like that you put “looters” in quotes. After hurricane Katrina, the news would show “looters” and “people trying to survive,” taking food items from grocery stores. I wonder what the difference was?
Skin hue
Yes, people were also taking electronics, but for food?
I have a love-hate relationship with that song. I’ll have to purge with a doco later, thanks! 😁
Some religions -old and new - believe we choose the lessons we come to learn. If we learn quickly, we can advance to more advanced lessons, if we refuse or aren’t capable of understanding our lessons, we repeat them, in one life or another. Just as settings, teachers and teaching styles vary, so do the subjective experiences and understanding of the lessons. Repeating them is karma. Demonstrating grasp and practical application is dharma. Choosing to incarnate to help others learn because one feels a deep empathy and compassion for everyone on the wheel of Samsara is bodhisattva.
Some of these religions believe we reincarnate until we have lived every experience from every possible perspective.
That said, back to my own cultural religious teachings, would I eat again from the tree of knowledge of good and evil? If I’m honest, on my worst days, no. On ok and best days? Yes. It’s good to experience things from various perspectives. Our imaginations have been constrained and lack ability. Physical and intellectual exercise is the remedy.
I genuinely laughed. Politician style or hospitality industry style? I’ve so many questions!
Wasn’t the opinion in George Zimmerman case.
I love this reply. It shows integrity and self reflection, also taking accountability. Thank you.
And bring him flowers, and place a laurel wreath on his head.
Sure they do. Democrats go full mask off and cozy up with war criminals, going hard right instead of center right; billionaires and corporations get richer, more people feed the machine. This guy decided to be the change he wanted see. Is murder wrong? Yes. Especially when it’s millions for the sake of profit.
Yes they should.
I want the executives, boards, and shareholders that effectively murder millions every year to be prosecuted.
I’m very comfortable on the .ml instances where I participate, mostly reading, commenting much less because I’m still learning and considering perspectives that I was heavily propagandized to reject. My questions are answered, my thoughts are challenged, and sometimes I have to chew on that for awhile. Other thoughts it seems are “we won’t know until we know,” and I’m okay with that. It’s not always comfortable, it’s very often uncomfortable, but I feel it’s necessary for my personal development as a human being. I don’t know everything, no one can, but I’m willing to consider perspectives that were once foreign and/or shunned by myself. It’s not even necessarily that I automatically believe everything I read, more that I’m working to suspend disbelief in order to gather and consider more data. Iow, the older I get and more I understand, the more I realize how much I don’t know and understand.
