Castro was invited to speak at the UN. The US State Department wouldn’t let Castro’s people go anywhere except Manhattan. Castro took a hotel in Harlem. The locals loved that.

That was 1960, this is '59. The US government wasn’t quite as hostile against the Cuban government at this time, and Castro was there in '59 for the purpose of drumming up US public support.
The failures here in '59, in which the US government refused to consider significant compromises with Castro’s plans of nationalization, are arguably what caused Cuba’s current state - isolating Castro and forcing him to turn towards the only other power of note whose influence which could reach and protect Cuba - the USSR.
Nnah, thats Liam Neeson
Justin’s dad was such a stud!
Where’s the pic of Castro signing an autograph for the Lemmy Devs?

At this point in time, the Cuban government had not become radically anti-US nor was it explicitly communist, but rather a united front in opposition to Batista. The Lemmy devs, were they alive at the time, would have doubtlessly have condemned Castro as controlled opposition and a shitlib.
Why were they against Batista? I thought he was good at Drax.
