yyyesss?@lemmy.worldto Star Trek Social Club@startrek.website•About Star Trek Starfleet Academy blacklashEnglish3·2 months agoI hated Discovery. Didn’t make it through season 1. Thanks for so clearly explaining why. AND convincing me not to bother with Picard.

Some things, like housing and wine. Other things, same or more expensive (such as electronics) Healthcare was at least as good but easier to get into.
I was constantly surprised just how normal/at home I felt. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

ha, you beautifully illustrated their point.
i’m not saying you’re wrong, it’s just funny how on-the-nose you got it.
I don’t consider Tailwind (or any atomic CSS library) “as simple as can be”. Having to know a bunch of custom naming conventions seems to go against this whole idea.
this is fairly naive. this is not intended as an insult, just an observation. these suggestions get painful at scale.

Before it won the Oscar it was in limited release in the US. A friend drove me nearly three hours to the closest showing. After the Oscar it came to most theatres. I took other friends to see it on two separate occasions.

yes 100% this. in CBT, they would say to “take actions that are in line with your values.”
your values aren’t your morals or your beliefs - they’re the things that make life worth living. what’s really important to you? when you look back, what is the thing you value most (or will regret not having done)? find a way to do something that feeds into that.
your job isn’t you. for most people, it’s just some shit you have to do. your values are you. and they should be your first priority.
