It’s the perfect combo of cozy but not zero challenge - this would be my pick in op’s shoes
No cat no lemmy. Those are the rules we’ve… just made up.
Yep, hoping he’s not stupid enough to do that. However, on the other hand brain worms…
It still has a bit of gum in it (hard to find without these days) but that talenti stuff in the US appears to be real cream still - honestly that’s the big kicker for me with ice cream, too much gum or any vegetable product just makes it not worth the calories 🤢
All those bryer/haggen das big brand ones have so much air whipped into them it’s like eating frozen foam. Same with most chains’ milk shakes right now, they melt into nasty foam.
TIL - Thank you!
Prusas have a reputation in the 3d printer world - they’re work horses, lots of print farms use them exclusively because of their longevity & repairability. Gotta say, I’m a bit jealous - that is not a cheap machine.
You aren’t imagining it, they add various types of gum and additives to slow melting rates of real ice cream, and a lot of ice cream is straight up fake - “frozen dairy dessert” is a euphemism for fake ice cream often padded out with cheaper ingredients like vegetable oils.

Honestly now-a-days one of the few ways we are going to protect ourselves is to rely on the ingredients list our governments mandate and familiarize ourselves with what products are actually what they claim they are, whether they contain anything questionable, and what euphemisms they use to hide undesirable ingredients. (Hydrogenated Oil == Trans Saturated Fat, Natural Sweeteners == Sugar, Corn Syrup == cheap substitute for sugar)
For those of us in the US (yes I know this is world - sorry) we can only hope the brain worm dead bear boy doesn’t gut the FDA as badly as he promises, or companies are going to start adding all sorts of fun stuff to our food.
Educate yourself and your friends about “the poison squad”, fascinating story of the kinds of crazy shit they used to put in food. Copper sulfate in canned peas and such.
I mean give em a leaf why not
The struggle is real haha
That’s a good point and- ooh look a butterfly!
Blahaj is very much a queer friendly instance. Mostly trans folk, but imho you will get a good response there.
Also, feel free to DM me if you want. I went through a lot of therapy to be okay with my sexuality, happy to discuss whatever privately if you would like :)
Edit: Cuz you seen to be asexual, perhaps !asexual@lemmy.world ? <1k subs unfortunately so maybe a bit dead, but worth a shot.
Just make sure you’re not combative on blahaj, the mods are very protective in a mama bear sort of way. 🥾
Change your nozzle randomly and without warning
You really took the time to comment and complain that you’ve already seen this? You’re… upset that your time was wasted?
Buddy. Cmon.
I don’t know this for sure but getting airdrop to work on a win machine might not result in the most stable solution - it looks like most of the solutions are open source projects which are fun but idk if I would personally trust them to be working 100% of the time when you need it at the end of class.
I think it’s a decent option to consider if you can get your hands on an actual Apple device to test with, imho. Airdrop is fairly proprietary and made hard to integrate with by Apple on purpose in my opinion. The other thing to consider is how big the files are - if you use an airdrop receiver you will need enough space on it to hold everyone’s files.
I really liked the email idea someone had too - if the students have their own email addresses they could email their projects to themselves. Same consideration there though, if the files are too big you might piss off the IT guy.
Two more spitballs-
Do the students have any network storage that the IT guy could help get mapped on the ipads?
Does the school have any remote learning type software that students can turn assignments in electronically? Could see if that software has an ipad app that adds a “share to” option when exporting a project? Long shot but maybe
Ooh, i like making them airdrop it to a host machine, that’s one-way. Only deal is that you have to manually order and expose it via network, or restore it later manually both of which are a little untenable 🤔
It’s not an elegant solution but I know they make USB sticks with lightning connectors, could maybe find a way to make them back their projects up to it at the end of the day? Unsure if this works with garage band tho, just brainstorming
Did you use bleach in the wash? If it’s a light brown looking spot on black fabric that’s clearly lighter than the surrounding fabric, that’s my guess.
