I just double checked on my phone, on Android you can pin the current app, that limits access for the user to only that app. Unpinning requires you to essentially unlock the phone again. I wouldn’t hand my phone to a pig either, but if I pinned the app, it would be secure enough for a traffic stop.

The bubble expands at the speed of light, eventually taking over the entire universe. Galaxies drift apart, atoms can’t hold themselves together, and the ways that particles interact are fundamentally changed. Whatever form the universe takes after this event certainly wouldn’t be hospitable for humans.

Yeah, those thicker ones are considered reusable, and therefore are exempt from the single-use plastic bag ban. This legislation closes that loophole.

California already had banned single use bags. We’ve been posting paying for “reusable” plastic bags for a couple years already. This legislation bans all plastic bags, including the reusable types. Now we get to being bring our own bags, or get paper bags.

Often times when you delete something off a computer, the computer simply deletes the address of the data, but doesn’t overwrite the data.
Think of a map for a city. If you delete a house off the map, you may not be able to find it anymore, but the house is still there. It’s the same for computer storage

My cat has a fungal infection in his brain and requires one pill twice a day. Been doing this for sevenish years. He’s the only cat I’ve ever had, so take this with a grain of salt, but I just get him on my chest and pet him until he starts purring. Then I use a finger to open his mouth and push the pill to the back of his throat, and immediately go back to petting him. He swallows it, and sometimes gags for a second. But, I do it really quickly, and usually it’s over quick enough that he doesn’t even stop purring. YMMV
