“I was really quite shocked and appalled by the picture you sent after grandma passed away. I especially wonder why you’d be smiling like you were. What was going through your mind/what were you thinking?”
Would be a very valid question in my opinion, asked in an adult way.
Regardless of your aunts motives, you are allowed to feel the way you feel, and to speak up about it. Best that can happen is she’ll understand and apologize, worst is she’ll be ashamed and defensive.
From a purely “vote with your wallet” standpoint it doesn’t make sense, because there’s no money paid. However, one might worry about data/information getting in the hands of a fascist/compromised government. So I think people should judge this themselves case by case.
There is a tv show called tales from the loop based on his work.
No, they’re angry that this game, although it is in the same genre, got no originality or creativity from it’s makers. It’s an almost exact copy.
One thing not mentioned is that if you ever want to “de-Google”, you will have to go to all websites and services where you logged in using your Google account, and (try and) change the authentication method. Avoid it if possible.
This depends on your (privacy) laws. The phone operators (and in all fairness, a lot of app developers) have access to the phone’s location.
If the government doesn’t need a warrant, and they can just ask for the location information at Apple or Google (or, for example Meta or X if those apps have location tracking permissions turned on), they could in theory find anyone they like at any time.
Why are they removing support though?
I assume you have heard of An idiot abroad?
It’s a comedy, I think a lot of the misery is acted, but fun nonetheless.
He looks more intelligent than most project managers.
Probably because they’re from the U.S. where SMS is still used extensively for messaging.
I have to disagree here. I find using Cinnamon is very close to using windows. Everything hardware wise pretty much runs out of the box on all desktops and laptops I have installed it on. Have been using it for years. The one thing I can’t comment on is hdpi. I never owned a high enough resolution screen to have problems with scaling I guess, although I do have a three monitor setup. Immutability might be nice, but I think it’s also personal preference. Windows doesn’t have it so it might be a strange feature to new users coming from Windows.
