checkupdates -nhttps://man.archlinux.org/man/checkupdates.8
-n, --nosync Do not sync the temporary database, works best when the temporary database is updated regularly through some other means such as a cronjob or systemd timer.

Empathy tends to be a byproduct of considering another person’s point of view and not immediately assuming the worst. There is definitely intelligence there, if you are considering all angles
