5·9 months agoWoke became a simple label for people who blamed women and minorities for their entertainment not living up to their explanation. It became a label for them to use without specifically saying that they didn’t like depictions in the media they liked, which is a big reason they shy away from actually elaborating on what they mean by woke.
I thought it wasn’t necessarily due to a lack of attempt to reach them through games, but that they saw “woke” as a reason for why games or movies turned out bad.
So not necessarily a hey fellow kids we play games too, but outrage over the medium they like flopping or not turning out how they wanted.
Like the amount of right wing reviewers for Star Wars and so on blaming woke targetting for why their franchises turned bad, and turning it into a culture war.
Yeah I’ve used heroic launcher, but a native launcher is still preferred. I like the GOG launcher on windows.
Cloud saves, achievements, and tracking hours is something I do like. I have over a 100 GOG games, so individually managing exe files isn’t something I really want to do.
Like how people were gifted ability to have more knowledge at their hands than previous generations and rapid communication, and then came to the conclusion that the earth is flat, vaccines are poision, and facism is holy?
Humans are dumb fucks. They will inevitably fuck up even the most perfect utopia they arrive in short of some mass hive mind brain washing Equilibrium style. i don’t hold that high an opinion of human society.
Leave the world to the animals. Humans are a failed experiment and a virus to the world.

That medium article that keeps being reposted from some random user with only that one article intentionally omits this work history after the FTC too.
Yeah I looked further into the article and it indeed does not seem to paint the entire picture. Especially with the omission that after leaving the FTC, Gail Slater became vice-president for legal and regulatory policy for the Internet Association which is a lobbying group for companies like Google, Amazon, eBay, and Facebook.

So medium article just glossing over who Gail started working for after leaving the FTC makes the omission a sign of incompetence or intentional with the knowledge it might weaken their argument. And who even is ovenplayer? We got no idea who this random person is so not covering the whole details makes me wonder why this medium article keeps being posted. Rather funny actually that the Trump tweet provided in the medium article omits this part too.
Already well aware of the CDU and AFD. As long as nobody forms a coalition with the AFD not too bothered. Of course, if they do then it becomes a big problem.
Makes it harder to defend with the statement the official Proton account made on reddit which they have since then removed and kept editing. Makes you wonder what do they actually believe and if this is their attempt to be apolitical how much are they self censoring their true views on the matter to seem more palatable.
I haven’t fully committed to a new email yet to fully transfer over to, but I have been testing out tuta with it being one of the emails recommended by privacy guides. Still undecided though on what paid option to move to.

They haven’t left bluesky but they got backlash there too and have stopped being active for the past couple of weeks compared to on Twitter.
4·11 months agoYeah it seems it’s conservatives who are the ones who like to obsess and make it the topic of discussion to make their followers think it is the left’s primary platform of focus.
And then they also fixate on entertainment like games or movies to further play up how everything is woke as though it’s the left politicians making all that.
And it’s because that’s really the only compelling thing they have to play up to their followers who too make it their entire identity of conflict, since their other policies aren’t working class friendly.
I’ve seen people say setting vpn to serbia or albania will have ads not show on twitch. Worked the few times I tested it out, but what country ads don’t run might have changed.
