8·11 days agoUsually there’s a suitcase full of money politicians are supposed to take to the bank before flipping on everything they ran on. Maybe he didn’t get the memo?
It’s the era where the CIA was operating within US borders, torturing and experimenting on US citizens. Women couldn’t have bank accounts. Everything had lead in it. Workers were basically huffing asbestos.
I could go on, but you get the idea. I’m sure it was nice for a few people, but the average American was worse off than you or I today.
As bad as things are now, at least you don’t live in the 1950’s USA.
This is some shit boomers say after they vote down the high density housing that forces zoomers to work two jobs just to afford rent and groceries.

5·16 days agoThe ending is perhaps wrapped up a little too perfectly. You look at something like Twin Peaks and you know who did it, but it ends in whatever the opposite of wrapped up perfectly is and people talk about it for decades.

It makes more sense than it doesn’t.
Maybe not as shadow cabal type of collusion, but as the path of least resistance that all these entities would find themselves going down independently… at the same time.
