I felt the same way, then I saw glowing reviewed, watched a few episodes and it’s good. I didn’t have to be. I didn’t expect it to be. Yet so far it is.

I was raised in an authoritarian Christian environment, but on the plus side I am actually able to dissect a lot of popular fiction for my wife who was not raised with this burden. It turns out it’s actually sort of hard to understand certain metaphors, symbols and short hand if both your parents are sarcastic atheists.

I think it’s as simple as phones and laptops are mature technologies. A laptop now lasts many years. Phones don’t get so radically better every 2-3 years people are compelled to upgrade.

What sort of growth can Apple now sustain? A cheaper phone to compete with Android globally?
