Picked up Crime Scene Cleanup yesterday and I’m enjoying it, so far.
Hey, I’m you and you’re me! I also just turned 40 in late September. Happy belated birthday, ya old fart!
Be the chaos you need to have in your life!
I’ve let non-verbal pets (my snake, for one) die because I knew I needed to feed them, but my task paralysis prevented me from doing so when I thought of it and my lack of time management meant they could always go one more day.
Man, 2020 sucked major ass. I’m sorry Juno! You deserved better than me.
It is exhausting to live like this. Now, I just have passive SI and am waiting to find out what cancer or terminal disease I have that will claim my life while I slowly eat and sit myself to an early grave.
Never worked food prep but I’ve worked at a handful of help desks in IT. I always felt most comfortable and confident in my abilities when helping to identify and solve “house burning” situations. Is not that I couldn’t lead others in a managerial role, it’s that I know I’d be life you, in the thick of it, and also then have the stress of managing people and the stress of all that!
Psh, that’s for future me to deal with!
What are “benzos”? At first I thought that was Bezos.
If you figure out the motivation thing, give me buzz. For winding down, I found that doing mindless sorting tasks is good for relaxing. For instance, I build LEGO things, my son plays with them and takes them apart eventually, and I sort them back out. One time, I went through my son’s old clothes and made a list of what was in each box. I felt so relaxed after the clothes logging! It was a nice little Saturday!
We are wired differently. “Winding down” doesn’t look the same for us. It’s just hard to find the right task to let our brains relax.
Kinda hard to cum without an erection, though, right?
There was a show, Human Giant I think it was called, which was like skit comedy. Aziz Ansari (spelling?) was in it. In the skit, he was talking about rollerblading and I lost it when, with a straight face, he said, “the hardest thing about rollerblading is telling your parents’ you’re gay.”
In use Voyager for my daily driver here on this account and Jerboa for my NSFW account.
I love Voyager for the “hide read posts” and the some of the sitting and layout stuff. I like Jerboa for the erections!
I remember this kind of shit when I worked at Caterpillar. I always assumed the requested permission messages just disappeared into the void. Of course, I was IT so my requests were usually asking for more than they’d want their help desk staff to have.
Glad you’re still here with us!
I count 8 lives used. Next hole punch gets a free death.
Isn’t this just the Golden Rule? I’ve tried to live like this everyday for 20 years, but it can be difficult in this day and age. Most people don’t think like that. It’s easy to hold the door for people or say thank you, but it’s hard when you don’t receive the same courtesy. Jokes on them, though, cause they’ll burn in hell!
Yeap! On principal, I won’t buy any game that dumps pre-orders of games on Steam in lieu of exclusivity, from other non-Epic platforms, even if I liked the game series before. For instance, I have really liked the Metro series of games. However, as soon as the third game was announced as exclusive to Epic, I refused to purchase it on Steam even after the exclusivity deal expired. It didn’t help that the creator of the Metro games caught wind of people refusing to buy the game and threatened to not make anymore if sales bombed on Epic.
I’m just so tired of all the entities in this world that would rather make a quick buck, then milking as much from the player-base as possible, while standing in the way of me eeking out some sort of happiness in this shit-ass capitalistic hellscape. Would I rather be doing more creative shit with my free time or enjoying life in some capacity? Sure, but until we tear down this shitty pyramid scheme our society has bought into, games are the one thing that I still enjoy. I watch them actively deleting content for games I love, or making the content only available on specific platforms, and it makes me want to flay these wealthy fucks and leave them for the crows…
The source code for keyshare.link is out there and it does exactly what you talk about, but using reddit user access. Maybe someone could work within the license to code a similar tool for Lemmy users.
