Minimum viable product (MVP) is a term commonly used in project management. Typically it’s approached from the perspective of "let’s first do the work to meet the project requirements, and leave nice-to-have features as a stretch goal (i.e. only do it if the MVP is ahead of schedule). The antithesis of MVP is scope creep, which is what you seem to be suffering from.

I have my SD docked into a 4k monitor most of the time, and I can tell you with certainty that some games will struggle at 4k on the SD. You can still use the 4k monitor for them, just play at a lower resolution.

I just use the Minotaur for sentinels. Sure, the camera sucks, but the cannon melts them like butter, I got extra armor, jump jets, and don’t have to worry about weather.

Each tool type has different strengths, with varying bonuses to mining, scanning, and damage. Personally I prefer to have two multi tools, one for exploring and one for combat. This makes it easier to cycle the modes reliably, because I only switch between 2-3 on each tool instead of 6 in a single tool.

However unless you’re trying to minmax any one feature you can go with whatever tool you like. It’s not going to be the end of the world to use a pistol for damage or a rifle for mining.

Don’t skip the dialogue, even if you use subtitles and are a fast reader. It sometimes switches from one sentence at a time to whole chunks of dialogue and action getting skipped. Plus, the voice acting is superb, and the physical reactions of characters can convey a lot of emotion.

Apart from White Orchard, you shouldn’t need to complete all side quests in your area before moving on. Particularly with witcher gear, it’s sometimes expected to need to come back at a later time when you’re more powerful.

• Steam for games that have an online multiplayer content, because GoG Galaxy sucks ass on Linux.
• Steam for games that objectively run better on Proton.
• GoG for games that support LAN multiplayer.

I used to also prioritize GoG because it was largely DRM-free, but the Luna partnership is putting doubt on that.
