I saw another comment in the thread about ensuring you get movement in – that’s what my PT hammered into me.

I think a second factor is a lowered expectation of immersion that comes with playing elsewhere. The author specifically says they can play in the pub waiting for friends or on the train or whatever. You’re not as invested in those situations, so a game is more of a distraction than an experience.
StarCraft 2. I have too much to think about in real life so I need something that forces me to devote 100% of my attention to it. I don’t particularly care if I lose so I can just queue again and again and come out with my brain reset.
Well now I’m sitting in a different chair. And I don’t like that chair as much. 😡
Agreed, but the reason why is this is how you make money. Videos can be monetized more easily.
