I agree with all of that but some folks just aren’t clear communicators and / or English isn’t their first language so unless it’s a real workload to read, I’m generally grand with it.

I actually find the general standard of text posts on here very high. I’d bet money that the number of correctly used commas per post here is wat higher than the internet average, though that’s purely anecdotal.

  • It’s true that it all comes down to the deficit but it’s easier to create a calorie deficit when you include exercise. When “making weight” in the run up to fights I used to meticulously calorie count and aimed for a 1000 calorie a day hole.

When you’re burning 3500 calories, eating 2500 doesn’t feel uncomfortable at all (except towards the end where your fat levels get very low and your body is just constantly telling you you’re hungry).

But yeah, it’s all just numbers in the end.

  • Monero is built as a privacy first crypto. Essentially it’s like cash in many ways. You spend it in the shop and nobody knows where the cash you’re handing over came from. When you get your change at the till you know nothing about who had the cash before you that you just got handed. It’s just money.

This is all handled by a bunch of very complex cryptography. If it comes to it there are ways to prove you sent the money etc but only you have that capability to decide to share.

  • No we recycled them and recycle rates were really high. They just went in the green wheelie bin and were picked up every week or two.

I would be fine with the deposit scheme but the plastic bottles and aluminium cans all need to be in perfect condition / no squashing them down so they quickly start taking up a lot of space in our (busy) house then need a trip to the store followed by putting them in a scanning machine one by one where before we could just squish them and pop them in the green bin.

I’m not doing any more recycling but now I have a lot more effort unfortunately.

Also no glass in the scheme.

I’m honestly not a fan as someone who was recycling everything already.
