Haven’t had this particular brand, but I’ve made vegan musubi before with another. Turned out great and tbh I couldn’t tell the difference. The only downside was the price difference.

Stoked. I missed playing MGS3 when it first came out and am glad to hear this remake is exactly like the original because I hear it was arguably the best in the series.
Awesome job! Digging the small details like the relief cuts on the post bracings. Also cool bat box. I have bare earth around my garden shed and it’s not too much work to keep it clear of weeds but depends on the type of soil.
All the video games magazines would do an E3 issue and I remember binging on all the game announcements and event photos. Good times
Growing up watching Dragon Ball and DBZ is a fond memory and definitely a reason I got into anime like many others. Thanks for sharing your creativity with the world. RIP Toriyama-san.
The music alone is 🔥
I use clear matte Polycrylic on lighter woods, like maple. I find more glossy variants to have a plastic-y feel.
I recently started using Hassui ceramic coating on anything that needs to be food safe or water resistant. More expensive, but it leaves it feeling like natural wood and beads water
Great point. The jointer is another one that benefits from a bit of paste wax on the cast iron bed
Learned this one from Frank Strazza, you can make handplaning easier by spraying a mixture of 50/50 water and alcohol to raise the grain and soften the fibers. I’ve seen Japanese woodworkers do something similar when paring endgrain but just with water
That’s awesome. Loved JSRF, used to play it just for the soundtrack
That would be cool. I use linux as my daily driver, but occasionally switch to windows for certain programs like SketchUp. It would be nice to not have to switch
Highly recommend Hardcore History podcast’s “Blue Print for Armageddon” that covers a lot of the events from WW1 and its various battles of attrition (Verdun, Somme, Brusilov offensive, Passchendaele). Hard to imagine loss on this scale, but Dan is an amazing story teller
Damn. Season 2 has been crushing it too, especially with all the epic fight scene animations. Hope they figure things out and give the animators better working conditions.
Cowboy Bebop is timeless.
Fate Stay Night: UBW and other Fate series.
Currently enjoying Jujutsu Kaisen.
Pre-pandemic, Lie-Nielsen chisels were $55 and now they’re about $95. Kicking myself for not buying more sizes back then! Still worth it though, I reach for them more than any of my other chisels
If you see yourself doing a lot of resawing, a larger bandsaw would allow you to run a wider blade which, coupled with extra hp, helps make pushing larger boards through easier.
I have a 14" Laguna and rarely miss the extra capacity. I don’t do a whole lot of resawing and when I do I’ll use a 1/2" woodslicer blade which handles everything I throw at it. Otherwise, I mostly keep a 3/8" blade on it.
If you’re ok buying used, a vintage 14" Rockwell Delta is a great saw for the money.
Also, Alex Snodgrass on YouTube is a great resource for all things bandsaw.
Silent wind of doom is a nice callback. A Muscular Beaver attack would’ve been funny too
If I remember correctly it rapid fired bullets
A Shelby Cobra should be enough to stop them
Nice progress. A sharp tool makes a world of difference. As far as the shavings, mine usually go in the composter. A buddy of mine gives them away to people with chickens.
