This is why I think things like social media and doom scrolling are so bad, because it makes it so people can’t stand being bored and they need to get back to scrolling. Instead of getting bored enough that they finish a project or start a new hobby.
At least thats what I’ve noticed in myself, it took me uninstalling reddit and Instagram a few years ago and letting boredom in to get me to work on my hobbies more

I had no idea it was basically a reskin, I never got around to playing age of empires but really enjoyed galactic battlegrounds

I’ve always wanted to do that but when I try on paper i always forget it and I hate typing on my phone but would be the best option.
Something like daily events at least to remember stuff. The best I’ve done is try and remember to snap a photo since it gets backed up and immich does a good thing of showing you memories when you open the app
