Damn, that’s interesting. My first thought on hearing that was wondering if pine scented cleaning products are a thing because it’s cheaper to synthesize limonene in both chiralities and then separate after the fact than it is to just synthesize the orange-smelling version.

On top of what you just mentioned, rather than Trump surrounding himself with incompetent toadies and yes-men, I think a lot of smarter, more powerful, and more dangerous people have taken the last 4 years to worm their way into his ranks.

He’s established himself as a useful idiot. During his first 4 years we saw the idiot part glaringly. It was scary and embarrassing, but we scraped by and experienced a few years of relatively boring politics. My big worry is that we’ll see the useful part exploited much more effectively this time around.

The photo of the terraced farming actually brings up an interesting point–in order to render those slopes usable for farming, terracing approximates the “flat” projection of the terrain anyways, so you end up with the same result. Buildings and any other usable structures follow the same rule: you can only build vertically, so the effective surface area is the same as the flat projection.

Snow is a great example. As a kid, snow was freedom from school, a sculpting medium, a sledding surface, a new landscape to explore…

As an adult, it mostly means tangled commutes and manual labor.

But are their actions causing public outrage at: a) the causes and purveyors of climate change, or b) the people protesting climate change?

I don’t think the “any attention is good attention” adage applies to something as politically polarized as climate change.

Sadly, in my limited experience with people who wear their shoes inside by default, it has been this one.

The big one for me is drag/drop, copy/paste, saving of emails and attachments between Outlook and the rest of Windows/Office is completely borked.

Thanks for posting that. I find social interactions pretty draining as well, and default to email or chat whenever possible, but your post made it click in my head that even a quick video call with a new (or old!) colleague makes later communications feel so much easier.

They may not care, but reading people and meeting expectations of your colleagues is pretty much a bare minimum level of functioning for most professional positions.

I’m a massive introvert and would love to not have to rely on those social aspects of work, but they undeniably make me more effective at my job and make life easier in the long run. It’s no different than physical exercise or any of the million other things in life that might be a bit unpleasant but are ultimately good for you.

The good news is that it looks pretty uniform front to back, so the bed is actually probably close to level despite z offset being too high.

I’m actually kind of impressed with how well the lines are sticking despite how little contact area there is!

Can you provide any more details on what is not working and what might have changed since things stopped working? There is not a lot of info to go on.

I’ve been running Klipper on a Raspberry pi with an Ender 3 S1 Pro for about 8 months with virtually zero hiccups, but I’d hardly claim to be an expert.

I second callcc’s suggestions. I don’t think it’s a slicer or hardware issue, just optimizing your print parameters for the filament.
