Personally, I’d be worried about subjecting the printer to the lateral forces and torques a knife would put on a printer that was never designed to contact the workpiece, if you ever wanted to use it for FDM printing again. But maybe that would be a good project for a printer that was already beat up a bit.
Since you mention the Ender 3, mine came bundled with a laser cutter attachment. I have never actually gotten around to using it, so I can’t offer much other than to say that such an official accessory does exist and might be less of a hassle than some of the DIY options you are considering.

But as long as you go straight from the original packaging to your dry box, you shouldn’t have to worry much about it ever getting wet to begin with.
There are probably cheaper bulk options–but I personally bought some 50g satchets that change color when they start to saturate, for convenience. 3 of those keep a large bin dry for a few months depending on ambient humidity and how often you open it.
It’s crazy easy too. You can get a decent size plasric tote with weatherproof gasket for about $15-20, and a few packs of reusable dessicant packs will.run another $10-15.
For about $30 all in you can keep 6-8 rolls of filament below 10%RH full time with zero hassle.

Given your instance, I’m guessing you’re not from the US… but here there are two generally standard shapes for residential toilets–round and oblong. The round ones fit better in small bathrooms, but man when you are used to the oblong shape it feels like sitting on a child-size toilet or something.
I bought a set of mugs like that recently. It’s a shame because they are pretty nice looking, and comfortable to hold when empty. But when full of hot liquid, the handle just is totally inadequate.
They are from IKEA, so at least they didn’t cost too much, but I am a little surprised because their stuff is generally pretty well thought out from an ergonomics and usability perspective–it’s only really the sturdiness/durability I ever worry about.
The best mugs I have are still a pair of the stereotypical featureless cylinder type I got from a giveaway 10 or 15 years ago–they are utterly boring, but the handle fits 3 fingers for a perfectly stable grip!

Damn, that’s interesting. My first thought on hearing that was wondering if pine scented cleaning products are a thing because it’s cheaper to synthesize limonene in both chiralities and then separate after the fact than it is to just synthesize the orange-smelling version.

On top of what you just mentioned, rather than Trump surrounding himself with incompetent toadies and yes-men, I think a lot of smarter, more powerful, and more dangerous people have taken the last 4 years to worm their way into his ranks.
He’s established himself as a useful idiot. During his first 4 years we saw the idiot part glaringly. It was scary and embarrassing, but we scraped by and experienced a few years of relatively boring politics. My big worry is that we’ll see the useful part exploited much more effectively this time around.
The photo of the terraced farming actually brings up an interesting point–in order to render those slopes usable for farming, terracing approximates the “flat” projection of the terrain anyways, so you end up with the same result. Buildings and any other usable structures follow the same rule: you can only build vertically, so the effective surface area is the same as the flat projection.
Snow is a great example. As a kid, snow was freedom from school, a sculpting medium, a sledding surface, a new landscape to explore…
As an adult, it mostly means tangled commutes and manual labor.
Granted, a gentle snowstorm can be pretty nice when you don’t have work the next day, but it doesn’t have the same magic it did.
