I mean, people look back fondly on the Nazis. It just makes them shitty people.

Shit is generally pretty localized to one area, changing your mass shouldn’t spread it around.
Thing is, as the Western empire collapses, I think more and more people will start to move towards China just for the sake of stability and a basic standard of living. It’s already something I’ve been thinking about, and things are only going to get worse.
All that to say, I wouldn’t write off the idea of them attracting people. Immigration is a possible solution, it kinda depends on if the PRC wants it to be their solution.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bazzite has seen a massive jolt in growth over the holiday season, surpassing 50k active users. The Fedora Atomic image has gained 38.8k users total in 2025 since it began counting in April 🥳English
4·16 days agoYeah, getting PIA running without the native client has been a bit rough. These days I’ve just gotten use to starting a terminal as soon as I log-in, but I probably need a more permanent solution. maybe it’ll be switching to cachy as well.
yup, looks like fortnite to me

Linux@lemmy.ml•Linux is awesome at home, but aren't y'all forced to use Windows at work?English
8·29 days agoYup, and every time I have to deal with Windows bullshit at work, I get a little bit happier that I don’t have to deal with it when I go home.

7·30 days agoMy cats looove hitting my power button. It got so bad that I started setting a box on top of my computer just to block the power button, but they frequently still try to push the box away so they can turn off the computer.
Everyone in my office hates it, including my director who occasionally ends up going on a rant because Microsoft and Adobe often end up pushing their AI to us when we don’t want it.
Sometimes I’m very thankful I work for a nonprofit. They’re still p shitty to us employees, but our focus is first and foremost on doing the job right, something AI has no chance at.

2·1 month agothat last shot makes it seem like it’s still basically regions on a map, with the difference being purely visual. I’m more surprised that it’s going to be a heavy ranged focus, considering how many issues WH3 has had with ranged combat

1·1 month agoholy shit those last few seconds of actual gameplay. game looks a lot like the Dawn of War series, which is fitting. I wasn’t really sure 40k could fit the Total War mould, but seems like CA is willing to break the mould in pursuit of more money.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the oldest video game you still find yourself playing?English
7·1 month agoI dunno if it really counts, because these days I play Diablo 2 Resurrected instead of the real OG, but god I still love Diablo 2. I was playing a Druid Maul build a little bit just last weekend in anticipation of Path of Exile 2 adding animal transformations. It’s just one of those classic Blizzard titles I go back to at least once every year, alongside Warcraft 3 and Starcraft. They’re like the triumvirate of my childhood nostalgia.
Wish the company wasn’t so awful.

2·1 month agoI’m so torn up by the sequel. It was pretty mid overall, but the final bossfight was so incredibly infuriating that it ruined my overall impression of the game, so much so that I’d rather the sequel never existed at all.

2·1 month agoIt is, but it’s a little weird when compared to the post because it’s still getting updates.
That’s why I play World of Warcraft Classic, which is actually the game from 20 years ago (technically 18 since I’ll be playing Burning Crusade Classic soon.)

very Orzhov coded, did you think about making a religion out of it?
I can think of some ways to get it scratched
Well it works for this example, because lave-vaisselle is feminine. The root vasselle (dishes) is feminine.
I’ve found that most of the time, just pick the most sexist answer you can think of, and you’ll typically be right!
I really don’t like gendered languages.

The trick is to not use the whole spice packet. I typically only put half into my noodles.
