Sounds like shit I’ve sent the new apprentice to go looking for when I need a break
Pill pockets can work, but some cats will eat around the pill.
Personally, I’ve had the most success using cheese slices. As in, the highly processed plastic wrapped “cheese”. Tear off a bit, wrap it around the pill and kinds of smoosh it around the pill, and just like that, it’s irresistible to kitties.
Definitely not that cold today. It was maybe 60F (15C). Puppers was just fine, though those snow boots made for some awkward waddling when I went to say hello. Funniest shit I’ve seen all week!
Do you think you can produce enough food in a 3 month growing season to keep you fed and healthy all year long? Do you already have a full set of proper winter clothes that are warm enough to make it through a Canadian Winter? Do you have a vehicle that has a block heater installed in it already, and winter tires for it? How are you going to pay for gas, and heat your house? And pay for electricity? And you may want to consider pot plant selling as a hobby instead of a main income source, since everyone grows their own already.
The problem isn’t housing though, it’s the cost of living. EVERYTHING is more expensive in Canada, since almost everything is imported. Since the growing season is only about 3-4 months maybe (except for parts of BC), almost all food is imported (usually from the US, and as soon as those tariffs hit, the already-high prices are going to skyrocket). Clothing (of which you need double, since winter), books, school supplies, electronics, tires for your car (again, two sets), just every-fucking-thing is imported and expensive.
Housing costs are the least of your problems.
Damn, I wish I could upvote this more than once.

FWIW, as a woman, I’ve never cared or felt excluded when people say “you guys” or “dude”. I say these things all the time in casual conversation. The only time I’ve felt weird about it is if these terms are used in a less casual setting, and even then, it’s usually because someone has used these terms and then realized that there is, in fact, at least one woman present, and then they start tripping all over themselves to correct their wording, and it’s awkward as fuck (and a little funny) watching them try to sort themselves out.
It was really effective (increase in focus & motivation, large decrease in depressive symptoms) for both my depression and for my ADHD when combined with my normal meds, but I couldn’t help but notice wild hormone fluctuations (that were absolutely as a result of the bupropion and couldn’t be attributed to anything else) that only got worse as my dosage increased. These hormone fluctuations caused a whole span of other issues, everything from emotional instability to cramping and my period going really out of whack. It was very reminiscent of going through puberty, honestly. And all of that went away when I switched to something else instead. Shame, really, as the replacement meds aren’t as effective, but they also don’t make me feel like I’m 13 again either, so ultimately it’s a win
Bupropion fucked with my hormones in really bizarre ways, which was really unfortunate because it was super effective otherwise.
Ha! Fat chance of that happening.
I dunno, maybe.
Vivian. She publicly denounced him, changed her name, and gave an interview about how horrible musk is as a father. There are many articles written about this, here is just one.
I’ll keep calling it twitter as long as musk keeps deadnaming his daughter
Siblings of grandparents are “granties” and “gruncles”
This guy made an app called Soosee that looks at labels for you, and highlights ingredients that are not ok. The app is pre-populated, but has a customizable element to it, meaning that you can manually add in all the bullshit names and it’ll search for them, too. It works really well, I use it all the time as I have a sulphate allergy, and they pull the same bullshit there.
Haha love it!
Great post, but I did get thrown for a loop with the word placeboing, which of course I read as place-boing…
Bold of you to assume that the wall outlet would have a 20a breaker. Most don’t, unless they’re in a kitchen.
But you’re right about the resistance. Also, most extension cords are undersized for the loads they pull, they’re commonly made with 16 or even 18awg wire, further increasing resistance (which translates to heat).
