  • I think in general people gawking at one another is not only training us to react to things that challenge us with bullying (mockery) but equally it doesn’t help us grow as a people. I hate racist, I don’t benefit a damn thing from hanging with racists. But I will also say that racism is there. I am not going to pretend it’s not. And I will also say that by thinking/talking/etc. feeding the media machine and filling it with someone’s name you basically increase the chatter about them. Which I suppose you can see right now.

But that all together I would love the face of the internet to change because I think we’re too prone to low-level jeering. And I think we can do better as a people. Which I would say is why I have never been on 4Chan and was very happy to leave Reddit. Because people who communicate like that in real life a fucking assholes. And I don’t really want to be a part of that. Putting someone down, to pick myself up.

  • After a shit-traumatic event I crammed bb down my throat to chill the fuck out. It was my Tetris =P! That opening song is fucking AWFUL to sleep to. And I wouldn’t advise it for anyone personally because it has woken me from the depths a truck-ton when I was using it during that period. Counter - I am always an advocate of their earlier show dr. katz. That’s a good sleep show because it’s like a podcast and not terribly loud or “exciting” but that’s just me.

  • Yes, my partner watches shows on her phone too. It has to be something she knows like the back of her hand but she still likes. To be honest it’s pretty much Futurama or American Dad and she plays it with the filters on and set down a bit so it doesn’t bug me (too much). I still don’t like having tv on personally in the house. I also have a Sony alarm clock that everyone hates for being “too dark” but it’s the only led I allow in my bedroom. Everything else is painted over with acrylic, turned off or taped over. It keeps things from distracting me. If you don’t like sleeping in the dark - find what you do like sleeping in. They sell multi-colored lights you can find your own rhythm and if you’re interested in a partner(s) down the line (or have one currently) there’s surely either something a) you both/all can agree on or b) will find that magical glass slipper of a person who likes the same sleep setup as you =P!

  • If you let any electronics come into your bed and you are attempting to sleep, you’ve already lost. But if you read on your devices try to turn off everything you plausibly can in order to setup an environment conducive to reading. You could also grab an ereader and load it up with a couple of books (not too many, you’ll get overwhelmed) and take them down bit by bit. Put on some soft music with a timer if you need some noise. Or get used to the silence, which I don’t think I was super into when I was younger but for sure got easier and more desirable as I got older.

Put your phone across the room on a charger if you can - because it’ll not only help with falling asleep but also waking up. Because you gotta drag your ass outta bed to get it. If you live somewhere terribly cold leave your clothes under your sheets with your phone at the base of the bed. Try and keep them folded up so they don’t look like smashed up shit.

My partner sleeps with tv on every night, but she watches it on her phone so everyone’s got their something. In extreme measures (when I am trying to force a habit) I have all my electronics shut down at a set time. But I am pretty okay with myself right now. Just figured I’d share what works. But you gotta find your own rhythm.

One last thing is - if you get medicated you pass out like the dead all night. At least in my case. So you know, find what works.

p.s. - WORKOUT! Do eet! Get yourself as tired as a sleepy dog.

    p.p.s. - Washi paper =)!

  • I thought Germany was huge on developing cars? Maybe I am just a fool. Also I was thinking about in the past, Mexico for sure is a major car manufacturer nowadays. And…I just realized you’re talking Bugs. I liked those Rabbits. I wish as a whole America had more economical, small-form, simple cars. All of the cars here look like shitty space-ships and they’re way too big and I am not sure how these “luxury cars” ever feel like any kind of luxury. Because everything feels cheap, probably because it is.

  • Oh sigh, I didn’t catch it first go round because I didn’t really care that much but I knew so many human beings who came out as “bisexual” first me included because being gay all the way would have been too risque. I was watching…I think it was Clerks. Yeah, for sure it was Clerks. And 1/2 the jokes in there were homophobic. And the reason why I say this was because at the time to be gay was to be deformed, perverse, you were a broken hell-destined human being. At least if you had one leg in the door you’d be okay. But at the end of the day idk? I am not Freddie Mercury. I wasn’t raised in any which white way and I for sure did not listen to Queen or the Beatles until I was an adult. I have zero skin in the game and I don’t really care to speculate about dead celebrities, let alone celebrities on any large or real scale. But I will say that there was a ton of things that people had to go through back in the day that I think people had to hide or overcome through non-traditional pathways that would be less of an issue nowadays. Although it still is to some point, and I’d say it’s probably a ripple effect of culture x toxic-masculinity.

  • Gay men always sang in a straight way, hinted in a straight way did all sorts of stuff in a straight way because it’s what sells, it was what was expected and it was what was normal. Have you seen a gay man’s ass? They’re far more fantastic than any woman’s. They just do it right =P! Mind you, I’m a dyke, so this is me speaking out of love. But a simple place to point would be Labi Siffre. Who is also from the same time period and area abouts. He sang about women all the damn time, but that man had two partners he loved very dearly and neither were as such. While I can’t point one way or another I will say not only was it a different time but even within the gay scene it was a different culture. People did what they needed to do, or thought they should do - in order to cope. And for sure when I came out I was still rolling through waves of it too. It’s why I am glad queers nowadays (not as a whole but more so than ever before) can just be big old fagolas and what have you. But there’s still more work to be done. I haven’t really been a part of THE CULTURE for a min, so it’s all kinda foggy. But I will say in general, for sure I have seen some real “cover-up” stories for people just trying to do what’s right. But either way you’re entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I don’t really give a ploop about Freddie Mercury as a whole other than that man could sing. Cause he could. S’all.

  • It was a different time and she was more than likely a wig. Which pending I have my slang right (I’m thinking older school gay stuff where men used to marry women for society and then fuck around with men outside of the marriage) means she is a marriage of convenience. But really as far as I know she was basically his hag, and he loved her deeply. Gay remorse stuff - but sometimes people get tired of being “weird and different” and wish they could just be “normal” and things could just “work they way they were ‘supposed’ to work”. And yeah, he could have been wickedly bisexual. And bisexuals - you have every right to exist (and I think there’s more of you than are accounted for. But honestly, it used to be a constant back in the day and I have met a handful of actual wigs who love their gay ass husbands but understand that theirs are a marriage of convenience. At least, the majority of them do.

(p.s. - My gal and I actually think Robert Preston might have been bisexual. But only he *and anyone he slept with if he did sleep with both sides* would ever know. But he for sure was a swell advocate none-the-less. And I don’t think being a song and dance man instantly makes you a sister. Likewise, he might just understand the idea of loving a man and a woman on equal terms as I always joke sexuality ends up having nothing to do with who you could fuck but more so who you could love. But that’s my hot take. Also those two guys from ROPE(!) that Hitchcock flick were gay as hell. And I think they were billed as bisexual. And I think Hitchcock was probably of the lifestyle too, but eh. Who knows?)

(p.p.s. - Oh shit wifey said wigs is for dykes and beards is for gays. Hahahaha! She laughed her ass off at me =P!)

  • Hahaha apologies by that I mean I know absolutely nothing about printing myself and we currently have zero setup because we’ve been on the move so much in our own lives. But I would love to figure out a way to setup something where I could get her even a small setup so she could tinker around. I just don’t even know where to start as in - what machine would I even get her that would be small yet functional enough to be enjoyable =)! But apologies, I talk like a 12 year old so I probably didn’t specify that. Hahaha!

Also how the hey do you post images here? Cause I tried a couple of times but it never worked @_@!!
