I don’t have any 3d printers for fear I would be that guy. Don’t ask about all my other tools. (but I did use my lathe yesterday)

Becase family is most often at fault. So the easy answer is right. But when it isn’t family it is much harder to guess who might have done it.
Well you need to put a fair amount in for a long time to get that millionair. If you are 20 now you can get there by 40 by maxing out your 401h, but if you are 75 now maxing out the 401k may not have got you there. Many young people have student loans so they can’t max out the 401k and have enough to live. There is also saving for a house in there. And only about 50% even have a 401k option - ira limits are such that I’m not sure you can get to a million with them. Many people also don’t make much even if you get a 401k at fast food (30 years ago they gave you that after 10 years in the store I worked in - when you maxed out and didn’t get raises)
last but perhaps most important there is opportnity cost. several of my classmates have died in accidents long before they could retire. death rates from non accidents start to raise around 60-65 so even if you retire you may not have long to enjoy that wealth. For all of the above people they should have saved zero and enjoyed life young. Of course odds are you will retire but don’t pin all your hopes on life after, start living now. Even if God tells you that you will live to 100, your body will start to have issuse starting between 40 and 55 - there are some activites it will be too late if you don’t do them young - so go climb that mountain if you want.
there are reasonable odds that one of a couple will live 30 years after retireing (oiten there is an age difference so just expected lifespan may get you 20). Retired people should still have some long term investments. Not 100% like a 30 year old but not zero.
They would not have stopped 9\11. There are many needs for box cutters in the secure zone of airports and so the security of pre then would have caught them. As such it is likely the terrorists obtained their weapons from a ‘friend’ after passing security.
Those tsa lines are the ideal attack boint for a terrorist just plant your bomb is a garbage can and you can kill many without suticide tactics. If the tsa was interested in security you would not allow people to be in lines.
Nobody knows. Serious, there are a lot of factors people will point to in here. Some of them are real factors, but every time I dig in I discovered that they do not explain everything. Prices have gone up much faster than inflation for decades even after accounting for government subsidies.
We didn’t used to fund to the tune of $70k per student though. Something just isn’t adding up, but I have no idea what.
There are a number of jobs that count various community contributions in your review. This is a very large topic - write a paper in a major journal, give a speech at a conference, submit high profile bug reports - you can get a large raise for it. (the worry of course is that you get a reputation and thus someone gives you a great offer so if they want to keep you they better pay enough that you won’t leave). Exactly what gets you those promotions/raises isn’t clear in part because they need flexibility for someone who honestly discovers a new way to get that reputation and thus they have to give them a promotion. People who don’t deserve the promotion see the policy in place and look for ways to cheat themselves to a promotion they don’t deserve.
right to work means you can have a job in a union shop without joining the union.
My grandpa was a snow plow driver for the state of MN (retired sometimes in the 1990s), but as a republican was always opposed to the union. He still paid union dues, but they were reduced and kept in a separate fund by the union and only used for contract negotiations (important for him - he was a big republican and the union political funds of course donates to democrats). Since he wasn’t a member of the union he couldn’t vote on union leadership, but the leadership called him one of their best people there because he always attended the union meetings where contacts were discussed. As you can start to see not being a union member when there is a union is really complex weird. I’m sure there is more about this that I don’t know about (one obvious thing - what if they voted to go on strike)
It is over $1000 per moth for me that I’m turning away. there is just no way anyone can compete with that. much as I don’t like my insurance my costs must go up by a lot if I skip my companies insurance.
Because it is a very risky thing to do. When it works out great but if it fails you are out not only your job but also the money you put into it. workers don’t really gain much, they still end up with a ceo making money and decisions.
Democrats have been gerrymandering since they discovered it was legal. Sure a republican was first way back when, but as soon as they realized it was legal the democrats were doing the same thing. And of course both sides complained about the other doing it when the other was in power as if they were not doing the same. Once in a while someone puts some restriction in place but this is a clear case of both sides are doing it.
Right they are released patents. Fairly common in many industries to release all patents in areas like disability or safety. You gain more by releasing them any by holding them.
I would cover the whole with shellac which sticks to just about everything, is food safe (they use it in coated medication) if you mix your own (don’t use denatured alcohol - pay the big $$$ for high proof alcohol). This will dry fast and look nice. It isn’t the most durable finish though.
plywood is thin and the glues can chemically react with a finish the soaks in like tung oil does.
That is written language which is sometimes minimally related to spoken languge.
Your typical adult can make themselves understood by their community better than a three year old which makes them better - not until around seven are kids fully able to communicate (when their adult teeth grow in and they can pronounce all sounds)
of course some english teachers use ‘big words’ and so are not understood. in that case I’d call a four year old better. (three year olds generally are worse)
Language is defined by how it is used. You cannot be better than the natives who are using the language. You can use it correctly according to some book and often that book as written by smart people who are avoiding real issues with the language as it is used. It would in those cases be beneficial to everyone if they would follow that book, but if they don’t and you do it makes you wrong and a worse speaker.
In English there is nobody who is authorized to write such a book - many try but they don’t agree with each others. Most have little influence on the real world.
In French and Spanish (I do not know about any other languages) there are organizations who are blessed by law with the ability to define the language and they do have legal power to force how people speak. They are sometimes forced to accept a “bad” addition because everyone is using it to the point where they cannot fight it despite the power of law they have behind them.
You cannot say your English is better than many Americans. That makes no sense. Unless you specifically mean English as it is spoken in some other part of the world. There are several different major ways English is spoken in the US, Australia has their own way of speaking (I don’t know if this is shared with New Zealand or if they are different), and England has many different ways of speaking the same language. However if you are in some part of the world where a significant number of people speak a language from birth you cannot be better than them at it . India doesn’t have many native speakers, but some native speakers are raising their kids English first and so you can probably find a significant population there that is native and has very different ways of speaking.
They can’t: the speed of light is so slow that they don’t even know we are here yet. even if they are in the tiny zone where we are detectable with arbitary technology, they can’t get here in your lifetime because the distance is so large. they have to get here because to cover all sides of a round planet needs something on all sides since many useful frequencies don’t go through the earth, not to mention they don’t have enough energy available to pull this off from their home., there are a few more reasons this is impossible that I’m not aware of.
