Yup. And this is why all these coupon sites exist. Absolutely none of them would be running this long if they weren’t profiting off it.

Bungie’s Oni was really good for the era. Right before halo and when they were still releasing games for Mac. Think I still have that disc in storage somewhere alongside my Mac copy of Halo CE.
Turns out, the replay continues to update itself because I just checked back in and it’s there now, with all the session count and hours I was expecting!
I’m a bit frustrated by my steam replay. Not only does it show windows in my platform chart despite my complete abandonment of windows in my home for years at this point, but also one of my most consistently and highest played game (fall guys, hundreds of hours played on Linux in 2024) didn’t even show up in my top games list.
Edit: looks like the replay continues to update itself so it just wasn’t done processing or something because fall guys now shows up in mine as expected with accurate numbers, a new game was added to my number of games player count after I started a new one last night, and they are no longer showing me the platform breakdown lol.
Please let them have the rights to god hand and make a remake and or sequel. Please!
There will always be a need for talented systems engineers with emphasis on security. Programming in general is a good thing to learn anyways but understanding systems, how they work, and how they communicate is equally as important. There’s a lot of manpower needed for information security right now.
I’ve been feeling for a while now that Nvidia’s more recent approaches to open source drivers has been encouraged by their background talks with Valve, getting pressured by such a wildly successful new device.
They promised a generic release (no date) when steam deck was first revealed lol. Typical valve time but I know they’ll deliver a decent starting experience. They’ve leaned a lot and improved the steam deck software a lot too.
Still waiting for official steamOS 3.x generic installer.
This goes harder than it should, but then again so do most java programs.
Don’t think I’ll have the capacity to care, but put me in the ground with nothing but a light porous cloth covering so all the nutrients and microorganisms can be utilized by nature.
Having read the article, this sounds cool. But I can’t find the code to look at. Am I too dense or was it posted exclusively to Twitter (which I’ve blocked on my network)?
My list of multiple hundreds/thousands of hours include, in no particular order;
Replaying Undertale since it’s been a few years. This game still holds up and still makes me emotional in most ways. Forever worth recommending.
Have you tried Penny’s Big Breakaway yet? Been eyeing it and based on your list here, seems right up your alley.
The older I get, the less time passes between starting a new project and reading the readme / manpages for a library.
It doesn’t matter how bullshit or not it was, it matters that people voted for it.
They’re referring to the literal campaign strategy / platform he ran on which includes such fascist rhetoric as deporting 20m immigrants (when there’s at most 13-15m by most estimates, every single one of which helps the economy and is not a burden in any way) and “it’s the last election you’ll need to vote in”, as just a sample. Oh and don’t forget “I’ll only be dictator for one day” as a bonus, a treat. That’s what people mean when they say democracy is dead.
Undertale, Celeste, Katamari, Syonara Wild Hearts, Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid, Persona 4G, Persona 5R
This is one of the reasons why I don’t like gdscript. I get that it’s based on python and interpreted but I will never enjoy alignment sensitive languages. Just let me format it how I want and control EOL with semicolons.
On a related note, might be cool to see some tips on the mono side of things here :)
