It depends for what Apps you need them. Often Apps like Signal or Element support getting Notifications via a persistent Server connection or asking every so often for Notifications. Even tho i could not find any source, i found that this works with Whatsapp(sadly have to use it) too.

Everything is really bad. But sadly it is nearly impossible to buy a normal TV these days. Just buy any SmartTV, and get yourself a MiniPC with the Linux Distro of your liking.
It does work on the Pixel 9 Generation and even on the Pixel Fold 9 and Pixel Tab.
Why glad? They are also pretty bad. You also should not use them. They had a databreach and kept it a secret.

I started because of ProxMox on my Server. I started about a Year ago with Linux Desktops because of Privacy. I wanted to only use it for Office and have a Windows Dual Boot for Gaming. Then i tried a few Games on Linux and realized that Proton is great. Then i only used Linux. Then i deleted Windows. Now i love Linux and Hate Windows
Fedora. Dont get me wrong it is a great Distro but i did not really felt at home when using it.
Signal uses 2% a day and Element 1%. I do not really think this is significant.
