God damnit I literally just got Proton going like 4 days ago.

I used to be just as bad but something that helped me out a lot was making the map always oriented with north as “up” on the gps. It takes some getting used to and I don’t recommend it for complicated drives off the bat but it’s been a game changer. Now I actually know which streets go east/west vs north/south and have a general “map” of the city in my head since it always looks the same on gps now.
Helldivers 2. It kept crashing so I figured it was because of the anti cheat. Perhaps it was just user error and I need to try again.
It’s mostly the problems with anti cheats. The one that comes to mind is Helldivers. I already hated the anti cheat for that game but it’s impossible on Linux. If I was still into Apex Legends I’m sure Easy Anti Cheat would cause some issues but I’m not sure. If Easy Anti Cheat doesn’t work then there are a lot of games to add to that list like Halo and The Finals. I can’t name a lot off the top of my head but Easy Anti Cheat is super popular with devs of online games.
For sure. I’m doing the dual boot life these days because as much as I want every game to work on Linux there are still some that don’t. And some games just work better on Windows. But at the same time that’s why more devs supporting Linux is what we wanna see.
As a long time Linux enjoyer, this is honestly the easiest way to get it into the mainstream. People have already seen the success of the steam deck which only reinforces that Linux can be used for gaming better than ever before. As long as people stop using Windows I’m here for it.
These guys know they don’t have to interact with shit they don’t like right? If a game has something you don’t like not only do you not have to play the game, but nobody is going to force you to do it. It’s not like they were gonna play it anyway.
Fantastic game but lemme tell ya, the controls for that game did not age well. I’ve tried to go back and play it, even on an emulator where I can customize the controls, and it is baffling how unintuitive the controls are on modern controllers. It worked when the N64 controller was considered good. But with how controllers have evolved it’s basically unplayable no matter how it’s configured.
It will literally never happen, but a remaster would be sick.
Hey! I almost forgot about this when I left Reddit. I was so excited to see it come to fruition some day. I’d love to beta test but I’ve moved to an office job since then so I probably won’t be able to help much.
Except the photo they have of him with his face visible isn’t even the same guy. Doesn’t even have the same clothes or backpack. So unless this dude is proficient at changing his clothes and ditching a backpack all while riding an electric scooter down the street in New York, then they have the wrong guy in that photo.
Like I said, making exceptions is always a bad idea. It’s how these fuck heads even get away with it. But at the same time I can’t agree with exceptions even if I agree with the reason behind it.
Yeah, that’s kinda my point. The system is fucked beyond repair specifically because these people running the companies get exceptions. These people have basically let thousands of people die for the sake of money. So like I said before, murder is murder and should be treated as such.
If he gets caught, then I’d say yes. Murder should be treated as murder regardless of what the reason is. Making exceptions is never a good idea.
I just hope he doesn’t get caught.
Cool, I’m down. But I’d be much happier if you just made a new Warcraft game. Playing the old ones for nostalgia only lasts a few hours before getting boring.
I don’t think it will ever fizzle out. I do a playthrough of it at least once a year and I’ve convinced at least 7 other people to buy it or I’ve bought it for them. It’s honestly timeless and has been since I bought it day one. Even without the updates and added content it would be and has been my favorite game and I’ve bought it at least 10 times for different platforms and for friends. It’s the kinda game that somehow makes you feel nostalgic from the first time you play it to the fifteenth. Even talking about it makes me wanna go play it again even though I’m in the middle of Ghost of Tsushima.
I feel like they’re doing this because they are going so hard with steam deck. Regardless, good on Valve for doing this.
I mean when it comes to bad takes these days, it’s not the worst take I’ve ever seen. It’s not like they are rolling back every decision they ever made just to appease Trump like every other tech company. I’ll just wait and see what they actually do vs sharing one of their opinions out of many. Go back 5ish years and this post by them wouldn’t have even caused an outrage.
Still not stoked about this either, just to be clear. I’m just trying not to jump to conclusions.
