Just because things can be done quickly does not mean they should be.

Note that this account is meant to be specially prejudicial against instances, communities, users (even admins) who either don’t seem to be acting in good faith or if they claim to do so while being inconsistent or applying a heavy dose of favoritism.
The determination is substance based and involves whether they are condoning harassment or making unevenly applied claims and accusations, not just downvotes.
This means I’m not ignoring them, just not even seeing them

Just because things can be done quickly does not mean they should be.

I’ll tuck that fact right beside the Haavara Agreement with the Nazis. Neocolonialism gonna neocolonize.

So, O’possits?
Sorry, just came in to make the pun…
Good luck with the community and hope I see it on the front age again!

I mean America has plenty of industries the rest of the world depends on. Unfortunately, a lot of the good takes involve ignoring a lot of the bad ones that helped obtain them.
Don’t be proud of your country, be proud of the societies you are willing to participate in and contribute towards. If you don’t find yourself living inside a good one, go and search it out.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a Minecraft texture pack for that.

Nope, the only one spamming is you. You just don’t like me saying anything positive about it, even though there’s plenty I criticize.

That’s actually a good point. Nothing I’ve read seems to suggest this is getting rid of texture artists, but it could be a problem in the future. They claim it only alter lighting and materials, so for the moment I’ll take their word for it, but it does make you wonder just how much generative AI is involved.

If it was generating completely new images, I would agree. Worst I can do is criticize the things that are wrong with the filter.

This is an alt of TheObviousSolution@lemmy.ca, yes. There’s another one, alts are not new.
supporting this in every thread that popped up
The support:
NVIDIA is an abusive monopoly fueling international cartels partly responsible for the exaggerated PC prices.
Requires high end GPUs, meaning giving said monopoly more power
In actual gameplay, motion when the character talks creates this uncanny valley effect.
One of the many aliases spamming positivity.
… I just created this one. I think you just stated your real problem with my comments
positivity.
I’m not completely negative about the technology.
misinformation
This was actually right, before I created the account. Which is why I went through and corrected myself, and have made sure to rectify myself soon after. The purpose of this account is not to spread misinformation, it is to work on my mbin alts.
This comment is repeated because verdi has been spamming this libel.

It does not generate a new image, thus generates no AI slop in my book. It is an image filter with AI, which is what DLSS already was. Although Jensen does call it generative AI,
It takes color and motion vectors and passes it as input through AI - same as previous versions of AI.
It generates no new shapes or geometry.
It just applies changes to lighting and materials, basically creating a mask over the original.
Valid criticism for me is:
NVIDIA is an abusive monopoly fueling international cartels partly responsible for the exaggerated PC prices.
Requires high end GPUs, meaning giving said monopoly more money.
In actual gameplay, motion when the character talks creates this uncanny valley effect.
But …
I actually thinks it makes still images look better. /hides
This is the dev rollercoaster, not the prod rollercoaster.
