is abandoning kepler related to the higher gpu driver requirement or anti cheat architecture or both? i can’t imagine this change saving more than a few megabytes
😂 they always sneak a rotten little package into these big lists man
good analogy bro. i was fuming when they decided that the taskbar on my ultrawide had to be at the bottom now, where in past versions you could slap it on the short edge. and if you dare use a mod from GitHub then explorer.exe will crash every 5 minutes.
time for those groups of right lower-arm muscles to get their well-deserved spot in the limelight, lads 😎
man I’m planning to take a look at that too, hearing a lot of good things. currently just goofing around on arch and I’m breaking my system every few months when i compile my graphics stack a bit differently 🥲
even worse, the fact that they gatekeep it with the 4000 series for no good reason just goes to show that they turned from hardware maker to designer of walled gardens.
i think it’s way cooler how half a year ago i was able to use a mod for cyberpunk 2077 and mesa’s amazing gpu code to run ray tracing and fsr frame gen together on RDNA1 - which lacks hardware ray tracing acceleration, and at a time where cyberpunk didn’t have fsr3.
fuck Nvidia, making stuff like this impossible
honestly Ubuntu is getting too much shit by the Linux forum dwellers. it works great, is newbie friendly, and a lot of very specialized industry software, if they support any Linux whatsoever, it’s gonna be Ubuntu. I’ve started out with Ubuntu and if it wasn’t for them, i might not have sticked to it long enough to make it to arch by now
well, you heard the website 😂 now install waydroid and their mobile app
well shiet 😂 seems i got unexpected +80gb storage space again, let’s see which indie studio will get a new customer. bye EA
desktop icons will only render on 5090 😎
one of the few upvoters here 😂 this is mostly not wrong. most people don’t give a shit, don’t be mad just because you don’t like the truth. however, I’m still gonna blame billionaires, or by extension anyone with the mindset of trying to become a rich person. all of these rats actively undermine democracy using highly effective lobby campaigns. you can only blame the plebs to some degree. they’re stupid but also too stupid to fix it. meanwhile most people with higher education have no sense of compassion and just afford themselves a few more blissful years. we’re cooked, guys, time to finish what you wanted to do in life and get ready for the bad days 😂
if you play games on arch, your brain clockrate slowly goes up over time, so the games seem to slow down 😎
precisely. a few years ago i thought people will become more used to cyberspace and at some point revolt against digital blackboxes as much as if the builders or housing agents would put actual blackboxes into people’s homes. but no, digital literacy is going down, i guess the newest generation doesn’t even know that we had start menus without candy crush ads at some point 😔
billionaires and their super important opinions eh? having money is a personality trait apparently
your sis needs to make a dotfile git 😎
I’ll chime in with a weird take: this is a privacy community, we are united in a sense of defending our peaceful and unproblematic browsing on the internet and sending messages to friends from lunatics who seem to want everyone treated with the suspicion of highest criminal activity. the article posted describes a “privacy infringement” onto someone who not only has already broken the rule, but strongly publicized it by making people have to smell it. the perpetrators didn’t even have an expectation of privacy, so the premise is ridiculous.
I’ll say it like this: if the tv detects nicotine patches on someone’s skin, then i pick up the torches and pitchforks.
this dude boots 😎
