It isn’t randomly generated. If you read through you would have known that.
Also, Rainbow tables.
tldr, Rainbow tables are precomputed lists of hashed values used to crack password hashes quickly. Instead of hashing each password guess on the fly, attackers use these tables to reverse hashes and find the original passwords faster, especially for weak or common ones. They’re less effective against hashes protected by a unique salt.
The last set of comments is from 2024. These have not been addressed. The fact that it is possible to stream without auth is just bonkers.
The entirity of jellyfin security is security via obscurity which is zero security at all.
“As a cybersec researcher”, the limp wristed, hand wavy approach to security should be sending up alarm bells. The fact that it doesn’t, means that likely either, you don’t take your research very seriously, or you aren’t a “cybersecurity researcher”.
“Thank you for this list. We are aware of quite a few, but for reasons of backwards compatibility they’ve never been fixed. We’d definitely like to but doing so in a non-disruptive way is the hard part.”
Is truly one of the statements of all time.
He is going to say Ukraine did it and use this as an excuse to shut off starlink for Ukraine.
Have any of you FUD shoveling geniuses considered that this is because Firefox uses encrypted DNS by default?
Nice FUD you got there.
Grayjay. Nuff said.
I’m afraid to mention my framework anywhere. The documentation leaves a lot to be desired, but it’s honestly pretty perfect for a majority of use cases.
It even supports plugins and short codes.
Super secure as well so that’s neat. I had always planned to make a post about it but the lack of thorough documentation keeps me from it.
That said, there are a zillion of frameworks out there and some of them are ridiculously cool.
IPv6 blows. A.k.a. how to solve a network issue in the dumbest way possible.
Fuck me, there is absolutely nothing to be gained by going IPv6 in your local network. That’s just stupid.
This is an exercise in wankery.
Color me mine? Oh yes, it is great fun. I love doing it. Just a heads up, 4 coats is kinda the sweet spot.
And yes, they look good AF once they’ve been fired.
Garbage in garbage out. You give a shit prompt, you generally get a shit answer.
Come on dude, you know exactly what he meant. Social media is a broad category, but when someone mentions it in this context, it’s very clear what they mean.
You’re about 30 years off, but nice try.
You absolutely were talking about that. Maybe not as your main point, but it was part of your statement.
Fun fact, the Foo fighters own all of their music. They’re one of the few if only bands that actually do. The main reason is the fact that after Nirvana Dave grohl had fuck you money. This is one of the reasons why that band is so special. For them it is all about the music. It didn’t start out as a struggle. All of their catalog is a passion project, and that’s pretty cool.
That said, I doubt a lawsuit would really go anywhere.
SVN is trash and the people who advocate for it over git are probably pretty crappy developers.
Reason being, if they have trouble understanding git, I have little faith in their ability to create competent code.
Here in the states, GRK is a little more expensive than Spax (very slightly tbf). Their tips are really good, but imo nothing compares to the serrated tips that Spax has. It makes things so simple.
The shorter Spax screws also accommodate a Robertson tip really well also.
That said, GRK, if that is the best you can get, is going to treat you well. I might not like them as much, but they are a quality product.
