think of Yoda in Star Wars or some decades later ALF on TV
Not a big deal, but in curious when you think both of those were made, Alf was 9 years after a new hope, and 3 after return of the Jedi.

Sure. And I don’t have that setting enabled personally, but I am careful otherwise and I tell my family members who don’t know better to keep it on.

Yes, and additionally if I’m reading this correctly, this attack would only work for people whose security settings are to run any signed code from trusted developers. One of the standard options is trusting only App Store distributed code for which this attack would not work

While I can get speedups for rapid prototypes where the code doesn’t need to be good, just mostly working, to get actually good code it’s inevitably significantly faster for me to write everything than to fix what an LLM starts.

I listened to it exactly once, but it was live

I haven’t really played V, but other GTA games I just treat like arcade games where I start by stealing some car and try to stay away from the cops and steal bigger/cooler shit for as long as I can without getting caught

I think it’s an improvement overall, but there are places where background tinting on the glass and blurring should be stronger in order to improve contrast/readability. I still want pre-iOS 7 design back, though. Miss that aesthetic.

Maybe it’s just me but I really don’t like this show as much as I thought I did at the beginning. I think I was so happy to have the original formula back that I kinda glossed over a lot of the problems. Still love the cast and set designs and stuff, but as amazing as Ethan peck has been acting as Spock, the writing around him has been ridiculous (how many Spock-in-awkward-situations episodes do we need?) and doesn’t sit with his characterization in TOS. They talked about explaining Spock’s smiling in the second pilot, but his saying “Ah yes, one of your earth emotions” makes so much less sense with all the exploration of emotion he has done here.

I didn’t think it would happen, but I really wanted it to. Michael Dorn was so passionate about it, and i love the character

As much as I want to say fuck yes, they should first go back and watch those old scientists.

Explains why it didn’t open for me.

The fold is distracting on every foldable I’ve seen, and worse, all the screens feel terrible in use. Flimsy/plasticy
Sure. I am an iOS dev. I understand apples privacy protections and policies. I limit access to most apps and have some amount of confidence in Apple not selling my location information based on both their privacy policies and business model.
I have zero confidence in the security models of car manufacturers, and haven’t looked closely into if they sell location data or not (my newest car is 15 years old) but I’m guessing they do.
Maps are fine for me mostly because my phone already knows where I am, and I don’t want my car to. Also CarPlay already supports adding turn by turn to the car’s dash Outside of the normal CarPlay screen
I like CarPlay, but nope. Car operation systems should stay separate from car entertainment systems. Do not want.

I would still buy this just because

Plus, every time you bring it up (such as this thread) a large number of the responses are of the “not all men” sort. And yes, not all, but more than enough, and those comments are the opposite of helpful

For me the production was unlike anything I had seen to that point. Just incredible. Gameplay, however, did little for me. Perfect game to watch someone else play in my book

Tankless heater; this will never happen.
Ohhhh yes, that makes perfect sense, thanks!
