A lot of podcasts plug it. I’ve never bothered with it.
It actually was half way decent til recently, then they just broke the search function for idk reasons. Discord doesn’t purge chat to my knowledge.
Lol I can’t remember if it was sync or Lemmy that tried to get me on their discord server recently. I go to join, and it asked for some kind of ID verification. Like dude, I didn’t have to do this for your actual app. As you might guess, I did not join the server.
That’s gotta be it. I was looking at it crazy hard trying to figure out wtf if was.
My grandpa’s name was Larry. I had always assumed it was short for Lawrence. I just found out recently like 8 years after he died that it wasn’t even short for that. Apparently my illiterate great grandparents wanted to name him Larrington (which I’m 90% sure isn’t even a first name in the lexicon). Apparently my great grandmother wanted him to grow up to be Larrington the Lawyer. My guess is that was a name of a local law firm she had heard of something because it definitely sounds like a surname that you would hear on a law office advert, (i.e. call Larrington and Mitchell). Turns out they couldn’t spell Larrington and just decided to name him Larry for short. So his fucking birth certificate has a nickname on it for a name he wasn’t even born as. My mind was fucking blown hearing this.
I’m currently running through it on a switch. If they can port it to the fucking switch of all things, I don’t see why not PC. Wild that they are finally doing it like a decade n a half later
It’s supposed to be scaled as a percentage of income / net worth. Whether that’s true in practice however is debatable
I used to have a Miracast dongle and it worked like a champ. No wifi needed and it did exactly what I wanted. I always thought it was cool, but it never really caught on. Android killed off support a few years ago. You can still use it with Windows, but I mostly use a Chromecast now for convenience.
Never have I ever eaten lobster
I replaced my mom’s can lights with LEDs and I was an early adopter. I believe it was ~2012-15 ish. Not a single one has died. The only reason any of them fail now is poor quality and / or planned obsolescence. The tech itself is solid AF. I had some bulbs I got from IKEA for $1. Those have failed countless times.
The 1st one was pretty good. Never played the 2nd
Yeah, they technically offer breakfast for our kids too, but I’d have to get them ready and to school like 30 minutes early. I don’t do mornings like that.
Yeah, but what I’m saying is that’s not a thing anymore in California, they just have free lunch for all the kids, and you don’t need to be “a poor” to get it
In California, school lunch is paid by the state. It’s awesome and solves this problem. All the kids get the same lunch for free. Some kids still bring their lunch, but it’s rare.
Thanks to you, I have been reminded that this exists. (NSFW)
