The iVerge era
The iVerge era
Valve remembered on August 22 that they have a tournament starting in two weeks

Brother, it’s your cost of living. Almost every other country which has a footprint on the video game market and isn’t known for black policies has better working hours and balance of life. It’s just that paying Americans a liveable wage is three or four times more expensive than giving a reasonably comfortable wage to a developer elsewhere.
The other part of it is to look at where your game companies are clustered in the US. It’s either the bay area, Seattle, or Florida. None of those places are exactly cheap to either hire employees with these conditions or to hold an office space.
I think one of the major reasons why they are having to do PoE 2 is because the game has garnered a reputation of being a spreadsheet simulator, which really hurts any new users from picking the game up. This is, of course, an almost imminent death to any game. There is also some truth in it, in how the game has bloated itself to where it is now, where any seasonal character has to click 50 buttons between running maps.
PoE2 lets them not have to invest time in their current set of issues and start fairly afresh. Even if half of their committed users don’t pick up 2, it is still bound to outperform 1, I feel.
I don’t know what this is talking about. The only dank things I knew were memes and kush.
I really tried to not buy anything this time around but the last couple of games I picked up are all pretty difficult for my middle aged brain so I went compulsive shopping again

What does 196 have to say about this?
That’s a bit of an unsolvable problem at this stage as well because when not enough new people pick up the game, they can’t be matched with new players. Naturally, you end up getting matched with other low skill players who are, in a good number of cases, in that skill bracket because of this behaviour.
I have multiple thousand hours on DotA but I feel like the problems here might be the same. These games have bloated themselves to the extent that it becomes impossible for a new player to be able to pick up the game because it is near impossible to create and maintain an in game tutorial. With hundreds of heroes/champions it’s like a thousand different mechanical interactions and expecting new users to be willing to put up to that is asking for too much.
I don’t know about EU politics but how are conservatives reformists? (I should mention that I am honestly asking)
Valve and community management are sworn enemies
The post title omits crucial information of what the post is actually about.
I looked at the post because I was surprised that there would be someone out there who didn’t expect hospitals to share data. How did they think insurance works?
I got sleeping dogs for less than 2 dollars the other day. About 15-20 hours of gameplay but really fun and well done.
ADHD diagnosis isn’t as prevalent in Asia and it’s highly regulated from what I know so I doubt there’s stock just sitting there to be taken. In my city, I knew only two stores which had it and I had to travel over an hour one side to get it.
According to EA, people want more large open worlds, multiplayer, and existing IPs so they want to do double down on that. This is from the company who released immortal of averum and wild hearts which barely ran at launch and then they wonder why people don’t like any of their new IPs
It’s not about office space. They built a new office which somehow doesn’t have enough capacity for everyone but it’s still mandatory two days a week. It’s just micromanagement at this point.
The patch is a bit ass, isn’t it?
Feels like another one where icefrog wasn’t involved.
I would consider myself a borderlands fan since I’ve played every game in the series a bunch of times (except the tell-tale ones). Being obnoxiously stupid was one of the key charms of the franchise. I think if you go and look at how the fanbase feels about 3, it’s going to be the gameplay was really fun but the main story and everything associated with it was terrible. I think most other side missions were pretty decently written and had the charming campyness of the series. Taking out the toilet humor is a real ship of Theseus activity to do in a series where toilets are chests.
