  • It is both! A rerelease and a new game put together. The Shadow part wasn’t just “new content”, it was a whole independent story with new game mechanics and such. It was weird but it worked out pretty well.

I have the idea that it was a way for the Sonic Team to test again the Frontiers formula without remaking all Frontiers the ground up. They were like: “Does the people really REALLY liked this formula?”, and after the success they’ll be like"Yep, they like it. Let’s go for it".

  • Sonic Frontiers 2 or another Sonic game with the Frontiers formula.

The first game was really good and promising. Technical problems aside, the experiment the Sonic Team did (the open zones) worked great and was the best part of the game. After the success of Shadow Generations, which also implemented the Frontiers formula on an smaller scale, I’m pretty sure the next big game would be way past Amazing.

  • This year was shit overall in every part of o the world (greetings from Venezuela). You can’t have a Christmas spirit went the world is literally collapsing around you. Authoritarians are winning elections, people is dying, the world is getting hotter (and not in a sexy way), and yet, you have to go to work tomorrow 'cause you have to eat.

Don’t fall into despair though, that shit makes everything worse. Hope is a powerful fuel.

  • Well, you already say it: physics games. They NEEDS to be accurate with their collision detection since they relay on it to the game to be fun. The majority of action games don’t need such accuracy cuz THAT IS NOT FUN. You know how frustrating is to swing your sword in a narrow passage in Dark Souls to it to bounce on the walls?

Also, is a extremely demanding process to calculate such precise collisions.

  • It was part of my crusade to “Fediverse-sify” my internet experience. I started in Mastodon, then I added a Pixelfed account, then a Peertube one, then this Lemmy account (Which gave me a lot of good experiences) and now I’m trying Loops (a TikTok-like) and Wafrn (a Tumblr-like).

Overall, I’m in love with the Fediverse.
