I’d much rather buy a full game from the get go and have everything available with no time limit on when i need to buy it.
There is no FOMO if you can leave it for years, actually get the game with all dlc cheaper second hand for a couple of quid and still finding a thriving community online that isn’t focused on completing timed challenges for various currencies to get cosmetics you like the look of before they disappear from the store or the deal for the cheaper price runs out.
Yep, map packs are dlc. And it wasn’t alone. Every multiplayer game worked like that at the time. Exclusive or not.
I’m not playing it at the moment but the most recent one i was actively subscribed to was ffxi. I find that now when I want to pay an MMO I stray away from the wow likes (if i want that style it’s xiv for me though). I like the older ones that use more archaic combat systems because they’re often very unique on a genre where everything now feels very similar.
Also here’s an obligatory “I miss Wildstar”
Halo 3 and other games of it’s time did well enough, and the multiplayer for them lasted way longer than most live service games.
Actual DLC was better than FOMO cosmetics in my opinion.
Even so. There was once a magical time when games did not have FOMO at all.
What makes you compare intergalactic with concord? Ones a paid for hero shooter doing nothing new in a sea of free to play games of the same genre. And the other is a single player narrative focused game from a studio that has a proven track record of being able to make great games in that field.
It generates FOMO though. I remember when you didn’t have to pay for stuff in games, so I personally still find it very shitty to have to buy skins etc.
Just do what you can and focus most of your time on what you are able to control and make that a positive place to live.
That’s fair, another healer paired with mantis is a killer combo
As a mantis main there’s plenty of times where self healing is just not sufficient at all. All i get is a gaming over time too so remember can easily over power it. And to heal myself I either need to heal or big someone else or big myself which I can only do so often due to to the rate of life orb regen. It is not that hard to kill me if you focus on killing me or separate me from everyone else.
Sounds like a lot of this stems from you putting too much pressure on yourself to find something to do. I didn’t land on what my car was going to be until I went to uni at 21 and realised that I was enjoying the classes. I took a gamble on the course I picked and it worked out.
Sounds like you just need to go on a bit of a discovery journey and just try a load of different things. But don’t sweat it, don’t pressure yourself into trying to get into each one you try. Just try and go with the flow as much as possible and if something doesn’t click, start looking around for the next thing that might catch your eye.
I know it’s easier said than done, but I really do feel like a lot of this stems from the expectations you’ve given yourself (or that others have put onto you). You just need to chill, calm down and relax. It’s not going to be the end of the world if you can’t find something immediately. There’s always another entrance in if you just keep walking around. You’ll find the one you fit into eventually.
Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.
I know it’s a long stretch but we don’t know if Epic will follow through and do the same yet. I imagine there’s a lot of legal paperwork to get that stuff done above board for a bit company.
Where’s the final panel where you find out it’s been abandoned and nobody else wants to work on it
But also don’t forget they have no qualms with people hosting and downloading old games they no longer sell or run. Like they’re fine with the old unreal games being on the internet archive for people to download
Persona 3, 4 and 5
So which ones are good then? The first two companies you listed are definitely at the top of my personal shit list
You’d never get anything new or innovative if we only relied on AI for programming. The landscape for how things are done is always changing. Even in 6 months time things will be outdated and insecure.
The only jobs that were going to lose are the underpaid “You’re a programmer, I have an idea for an app, could you do it for me?” Kind of jobs. Which are always shit anyway.
Same, not tried it yet
