Privacy@lemmy.ml•Censorship in Europe: Major Palestinian news channels banned on Telegram186·9 months agoThe article is a month old but many users are reporting on new bans since yesterday.
So the same excuse but saying the Nazis had more right to use it?
Sooo exactly the same excuse as the Nazis during the Holocaust?

I’ve learned from TokenBoomer that Liberals will upvote any leftie meme when they can dissociate themselves from being the perpetrator being described in the meme.
While necessary and a great way to introduce people to a cause, at a certain point someone has to point out the elephant in the room.
Blocking an instance is fine. But many liberals are complaining about it an every day by bringing it up without pretext in completely unrelated topics like some tick.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you think of environmental protest groups?91·10 months agoBased. Politicians only listen when people crash the economy. Direct action has the most impact by far.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is Trump Made of Teflon?13·10 months agoMost voters would have liked to see the ‘justice system’ do anything that resembled working. But imagine if Democrats weren’t able to waive their support for away by screaming incoherently about the end of Democracy.
Trump is more vital than ever for the Democratic party to win. They are running on 99% fearmongering and 1% policy.

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Is Trump Made of Teflon?14·10 months agoThey waited to sue Trump for Jan6 until they were certain the trial would not finish before the elections and now "oh no Trump is running again!’
If they actually saw him as the danger to democracy they pretend he is they would try to win over voters by appealing to voters instead of just turning the trump fearmongering to 2000%
Don’t think that’s the perfect fit either, it’s more suited for someone accidentally saying a full sentence admitting their crime. Like Trump accidentally admitting he lost the election.
While israel is condemning their warrant, they are not admitting they are guilty.

How the Hillary Clinton campaign deliberately “elevated” Donald Trump with its “pied piper” strategy
In its self-described “pied piper” strategy, the Clinton campaign proposed intentionally cultivating extreme right-wing presidential candidates, hoping to turn them into the new “mainstream of the Republican Party” in order to try to increase Clinton’s chances of winning.
The memo articulated a three-point strategy. Point 1 called for forcing “all Republican candidates to lock themselves into extreme conservative positions that will hurt them in a general election.”
Censorship and privacy are closely linked but you are right they are different subjects. Telegram blocking access to certain channels based on region overlaps into privacy territory for me but people are free to down vote the post if they disagree.
