We put bamboo flooring in. It looks great! It’s held up to cats running claws out and me dropping things.

None 😭
This sounds like my honey looking in the pantry for snacks. “Where are the Oreos?” “On the shelf.” “No they’re not.” #sigh# [gets up and points to them] “Oh you meant these right here at my eye level?”
And bangin my tankard on the table just spilled my mead. ☹️
I’ve done this with disassembling furniture for storage. When a baggie wasn’t available, I randomly had a latex glove at hand (heh) to hold the screws and get taped to the back of one of the furniture pieces.
Indeed, there are multiple project bags loitering on the back of the couch! 😂
I’ve already replaced it with the zen and mindfulness I that produce from crocheting with new gear.
I will leave out some of my Trader Joes dark chocolate peanut butter cups as an offering. I hope this pleases the Fae.
Lol i was probably thinking that I didn’t want to put down my project in order to go to some board meeting/networking event/family function. “I’ll be riiiiiight back.” 😄
The timer has started. Just got back from the craft store. 🙃
Ooh. Behind the desk. This has potential. I always forget to look there. Desk butts up to a window, and cats use this windowsill to come and go from the off-limits desktop, and totally knock stuff off all the time. But one of my furry sweethearts has parked herself on my lap, so looking will have to wait until I am dismissed.
Yeah, I did this a few times yesterday. I think my trouble is it has been too long since I stashed it (see: previous loss of my cro-jo) and so trying to walk myself backward through the memories is just banging my head against the wall.
I usually successfully find things this way. But it’s kicking my ass with this one.
Two weeks from now at 1:47 a.m. I’ll jump up from the couch, run to a random room and find it where I suddenly remembered putting it.
This is totally what I’m expecting.
This thing DID have a designated place. Or it was kept out in the open where I could see it. But I must have hastily scooped all clutter into a black hole before a guest came for the weekend, and ☆blip☆ there it disappeared.
I just got back from the craft store with my replacement hooks, so I guess does anybody have the over/under on how long it will take for my original thing to surface?
We’re all just recirculated stardust.
I found a service that will mix your ashes in concrete and make you into an artificial reef. I like the idea of getting coral and sea fans to grow on me.
I took an assembly language course once. You know those merge games where you eventually get to double or quadruple your producer’s output? Coding in assembly feels like being stuck on 1x, where you have to generate all the basic stuff first, and then build on it, then build on it some more. It takes forever.
I liked understanding the why behind it. But I appreciate other languages that are more accessible.
We don’t have to switch hands with our forks in order to pick up a knife.
Of course I understand caution with ⚡️, but just about everything has a ‘do not open’ label on it (in the litigous US anyway). Do we not care about right to repair?
He looks like a forest creature that would come out of the mists.
What kind of motivation? For performing one’s job? For hobby projects? For cooking vs ordering out?
For example, if I have to do a major deep clean and I haven’t reached the point where it’s bothering me sufficiently to self-start, I’ll watch an episode or two of Hoarders and that seems to do the trick to put me in a headspace where I’m literally itching to enthusiastically and violently attack a mess.
For work, I’ll put on music like https://youtu.be/kGhHPX_TaI0
or https://youtu.be/wELOA2U7FPQ
For cooking…I haven’t found a video to kickstart me, but I usually have to plan ahead for the day, try not to get sidetracked in the late afternoon (which seems to be my hyperfocus time of day), and guard how many spoons I have left by mealtime in order to feel up to cooking. It helps to play a favorite podcast while I cook. The favorite podcast method also works great for doing dishes & laundry.
