Some games I play are only on windows.
I also like separating serious stuff and gaming, in this case, windows for gaming, linux for anything else.
But thanks for asking, All the best!

Thanks for the suggestion, but its a windows problem because linux (I dualboot) doesnt suffer from this.
Tried playing the same game in both Operating systems. windows HEAVILY throttled after ~15 minutes, linux smoothly throttled (the game ran in ~25 fps after the overheating in linux, while in windows it ran ~1 fps)
Linux throttles early so I usually need to lower the graphics to enjoy a more consistent 60 fps.

I always quit midgame, because in windows, whenever my laptop over heats, windows fails to smoothly throttle and the game starts running on less than 1 fps.
even the windows UI runs slow.
To fix the issue, I reset windows for the third time now, hopefully it fixes it self.
EDIT: This issue isnt software issue, because linux doesnt suffer from this

Ah, it makes sense, ddg browser uses builtin webview, of course it is lighter.
You can keep using DDG app protection, but you can reduce the battery usage of tracker control by going into settings and disabling “find new trackers”
This option finds and shows you the trackers each app has, disabling it will stop finding the trackers but will continue to block them.
I’m curious to see how long I can keep it out of landfill. I’m trying for 2028, as a personal challenge. That will be almost 10 years out of a $200 phone
All the best with that.

Good for you, that’s great.
But have you tried TrackerControl ? It can restrict internet from apps, and block trackers.
I heavily recommend it, since you can also monitor and block system apps .
DDG App Tracking Protection isnt as effective, but it is extremely easy to use and breakage is minimal.
As for the DDG browser, I only use it when the website I am visiting doesnt work on firefox.

For notetaking, I use butterfly, very recommended.
it has infinite canvas, various pen options to fine tune how the pen works, and settings to change what each input does. (like touch is for selection, stylus is for pen, stylus button is for erasing)
Give it a try, I am sure you will like (if you hand draw your notes), especially after the 2.4 update, the dev fixed alot of bugs.
For pdf annotations, I use samsung notes (butterfly isnt as good for that in my opinion)
Thanks for the recommendation, the article is interesting and gives me some hope.
