  • It maybe work less on you but it probably still work well on you. Advertisement isn’t as much about product anymore, it’s about brand. A logo seems innofensive but shown enough it become more familiar to you increasing the chance you choose this brand when you buy a product.

Another type of ad is the “cool people do this” kind with the objective to create a need and make you buy a product of this type. Even if you don’t choose the brand that advertised it you still enter the market. If you care less about the judgement of other this kind of ad probably work less, if you’re desperate for bonds maybe it work better so I don’t really know how different it can be among autistics.

In any case my advice would be to not let your guard down, that’s exactly what the seller want. Use an adblocker, mute the tv during adds, don’t look at the advertising poster when you walk or drive outside. You could even talk about this to your mayor.

  • Store a backup on a USB stick you keep in your house (in another room than your computer)

A sentence is easier to remember than random letters and it’s length and punctuation make it stronger than most pw. Use a sentence you like from a book, a video game, a show or a music. It’s easier to memorize and bring a bit joy when you type it.

  • Once I ordered food online. After I choosed everything and was ready to pay the web page said that I not only need to create an account but also download the app. I don’t know what they wanted from my phone, probably notifications or geolocalisation. I ate elsewhere.

The most frustrating experience I had was with brico dépot. To buy a shelve I needed to create an account but it blocked me because my behavior was “abnormal”. After an hour trying to reach customer service they told me to call the shop for them to create me an account, they did but when I tried to connect the password were wrong and guess what? When I tried to reset it they blocked me because my behavior was “abnormal”. The next day I called my mom who created an account for me, I entered the gmail address and the correct password, no “wrong password” error but “abnormal behavior”. I wasted 2 days on this shit.

  • Keeping a done list everytime I make a to do list. It happen often to me to feel exhausted and guilty because I’m exhausted and gonna rest without having anything of what I’ve planned done. The done list really helps me, I also put things on it that weren’t even in my td list in the first place, like eating in a bad day.

  • I guess your confusion come from the difference from your expectations (being smart) and what you read (logic deficit)

Peoples around you say you’re smart but do they say you’re logic?

Intelligence is hard to define but seem more like a spectrum to me: someone could have very good logic but very bad memory for example.

Also it’s not because you read it that it’s true. What the test exactly mean by “logic deficit”? How you was when you passed it? How old is it? You changed since you’re six.

The most important question is: Is it really worrying you, would you actually feel better with a confirmation/disconfirmation?
