Unfortunately, the only real path out of this at this point is violent revolution. We tried everything else. For decades. Pleaded with them to listen. They arrested and murdered us. Brainwashed the average person using sophisticated psychological conditioning. Captured every branch of government and agency.

My earliest (or one of) memory is of me when. I was 6 with a steak knife pointed at my jugular crying and trying to will up the courage to do it.

Things I did not improve greatly from there. I remember very little of my childhood or really any part of my life. Bits and pieces here and there.

As with everything else it will continue to degrade and enrage it’s customers, and erode the entire country’s very will to live. I am truly curious just how detrimental it is for everyone in this country to be exposed to the THOUSANDS of small fully intentional annoyances daily that are built into every product and service. It has to be a leading cause of how angry and divided we are and is absolutely causing many early deaths. Everyone is so stressed out by every single thing they interact with.

Those two things are not incongruous. Your friend was deceived by the leadership who is in the pocket of oil companies.

The only other good reason to fight to keep them, is to prevent their government from going fully insane and doing horrible things. But that’s the sort of thing that would need intervention if and when it happens.

It’s perfect.

Nearly every piece of legislature is tailored to the desires of the wealthy. Politicians ignore the cries of the public in favor of donors. If you want change, set things on fire. Preferably their and their donors houses.

I have lost all hope and am behaving as though we will all be dead within 25 years, and although that is not LITERALLY true, the actual reality is that billions will die in the coming decades and it won’t be peacefully in their sleep. The famines, wars and plain savagery will be awe inspiring to witness. The die offs of all life in the oceans and the insects will doom us to a swift death.

I exist and nothing more. I have no feelings one way or the other at this point. If I get hit by a car on my way home, it would be just as enjoyable as if I watched a good movie, although if I were to die in the crash, it might be a bit better than the movie.

I only hope that I can exact some form of vengeance on those responsible before we all perish.
