This is a good one, been using it for years if I ever need to install Windows for some godforsaken reason.

I’ve always felt like “ban” is more like a manual operarion, you’re banned until someone manually unbans you. While a kick or suspension expires on its own.
they promised Windows 10 would be the “last Windows,” too.
Iirc, they didn’t. There was one person who didn’t really have the authority to make such claims say something that could have been understood as win 10 is the last windows.
I hate to defend Microsoft, they’re an awful company, but this just was never really true.
There is a nearly zero percent chance that the game developers are also cloud experts
Well yeah, that’s why you would put some cloud experts on the project besides the game devs if you’re doing things like this. It’s not just game developers working on the game.
Doesn’t even have to be people feom the Azure team. Microsoft has plenty of resources to teach someone to be a cloud expert in other branches, they even offer certifications for outside people, surely they can manage a few of their own.
Yeah, letsencrypt doesn’t do this for example. They do ask for an email address, but that’s just for expiry notices.
They do require you control the domain, and run it on the server the DNS record points to. When using certbot at least.
Yeah I did, and as far as I could tell all of the shortcuts with alt also include some extra modifier.
It’s definitely a KDE sound though, it’s the default system bell sound.
I don’t see a shortcut for sticky keys in the keyboard settings, that’s probably not it. Also haven’t noticed any different behaviour after the sound plays.
Wait so it’s just a design choice? I mean I get they were the first but really, who really cares about stuff like that?
Nothing prevents you drom installing a linux os on an android phone, provided someone made a rom for your device. It’s just not very useable due to proprietary drivers. Ubuntu touch exists for example, but on most phones you can’t even use the cellular antenna iirc
Tldr: It’s just better compression
The “it’s more lean on resources” always seemed to me like a strawman people don’t like it came up with to diss on Gentoo.
Wait but isn’t being more lean a good thing? Or am I misunderstanding how they’re using that word?
The package is called android-tools
on Fedora, and probably some other distros as well.
I also don’t have that particular device unfortunately.
It’s pretty nice, especially in combination with slurp
which lets you select a part of the screen.
I have this mapped to my printscreen shortcut: grim -g "$(slurp)" - | wl-copy
, which lets you select a part of the screen to screenshot, and copies the image to the clipboard.
The only one i still have issues with is going from xbox to nintendo controllers, because they use the same abxy face buttons, but they switched them around.
I like what switch games do when you’re using a single joy-con, they just show a button with an arrow pointing to which direction the button is, so what’s printed on the button doesn’t matter at all.
I think the gyro and layout of the switch pro controller are good, but it just feels so cheap, and the buttons are way too mushy. Also doesn’t have analogue triggers. The d-pad is pretty terrible as well.
Overall not a great controller imo.
Is the word “nude” in the link not enough to know it’s gonna be nsfw?
I’m not sure about the others, but I’m pretty sure Hitman isn’t linux native.
As far as I can find on protondb, neither are Deus Ex or Tomb Raider.
I’ve never had any issues running those games through Proton though, so that’s great.
Doesn’t really work when 99% of posts are marked undetermined.

tl;dr: bcachefs dev sent in a massive pull request, linus thinks it’s too big and touches too much other code for the current state of the release cycle, dev says his filesystem is the future and should just be merged
I believe one person acts as the host. That’s why sometimes it’ll kick you out of a session and start loading again, that means the host has left and someone else needs to take over.
